Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Vermont.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

What visitors say

18 reviews on file · showing 8 visitor notes from the listing data.

“Nice orchard with some very healthy looking apples. I didn’t find one bad one on the trees between the Paula’s Red and McIntosh that looked sickly or had bug holes in them. Prices are fair for pick your own: $8 smaller size (forget the name, maybe half peck(?)), $15 peck, $25 bushel. Owners seem kind and welcoming. The little outdoor shop they had was cute. I could have shopped longer, but it was only so big! Fabulous cider donuts. Great operation they have going. There are also [a limited number of] wagons available for use too which is thoughtful. Thanks for the experience!”

“Our new favorite pick-your-own spot near Middlebury. Amazing views, great wagons for pulling kids, and delicious apples of course. Great vibe, fun little tent-stand with great baked goods, and if you catch Joe making sandwiches on a Saturday, it's a treat!”

“Beautiful place to pick apples. It felt like I was walking through a calendar. Plenty of selection of apples to pick from. Golden russets were amazing. Giant sand pile and a cornhole set for the kids. Cider donuts and other baked goods were delicious.”

“Incredible orchard with beautiful grounds, light hiking trails, and a cute farm stand. They had delicious coffee, cider donuts, apple turnovers and so much more. I also got beautiful pottery, maple syrup and jam to take home. Highly recommend.”

“Sunrise is a family friendly PYO orchard with tasty varietals. Great for kids. And there is the cutest ever farm stand that sells killer apple cider donuts, syrup, pies, and t shirts. A must visit.”

“Had such a fun pick-your-own apples experience! There was a sweet tent with lots of yummy local goodies. The apples we picked were delicious and very crisp.”

“Nice orchard, tons of different apples. Can pick your own which is fun. Little farm stand with donuts, some good, cider etc. Would go again!”

“Definitely worth the ride from Burlington. I bought an apple pie and cider donuts couple chocolate chip cookies.”
