“We went early to mid July and they were just about done with their birthing season. She said they expected 10 more in the next month, but other than that they were done. The little Goats were absolutely adorable and they let you pet one of the young maybe two month old ones. We also got to feed one of the males and feed a group of females. These feelings are included on the tour or you can pay to feed them, I guess if you don’t want the full tour. But I recommend the tour. It was a lot of fun. We just did the standard and then we paid for two platters of goat cheese for our group of four. The folks there are super nice and we went about four years ago and they changed ownership and it looks a lot nicer now. The gift shop is super awesome and the truffles we got to try were delicious. It does get really hot out there, especially in July so be careful and bring water. It is also dirty and dusty because it’s a farm. There’s only really some shade when they’re talking about the milking and goat cheese process, Or after the tour, there’s like some spots, you can sit and enjoy a goat cheese platter.”

“We had such a great time at Surfing Goat Dairy. It was one of those places that both the kids and the adults genuinely enjoyed. The cheese tasting was delicious, but I think my favorite part was learning how everything is made. It was really interesting to see the process and hear about the farm. Our kids were completely in their element playing with the baby goats, and we all loved meeting the “Golden Girls,” the retired dairy goats who now get to spend their days relaxing on the farm. It was such a fun and thoughtful part of the tour. You can tell everyone there really cares about the animals and loves what they do. It felt authentic, laid-back, and was a nice change of pace from a beach day. We’d absolutely recommend stopping by if you’re looking for something a little different while you’re in Maui.”

“I wish we would have signed up for a tour, but we opted for the baby goat experience instead as we have two younger children. My daughter and I got to learn about the gestation, breeding, and birthing of the goats. It was very interesting. We also got to hold a couple of the babies. I wouldn’t recommend bringing a change of clothes if you do this experience because of how much they shed but also because there back ends rest on you when you sit in the chairs. They have a washing station but I wished I would have had a change of clothes. We also got a cheese flight and charcuterie board. They provide a generous variety of crackers. The cheeses were so creamy, and even my 4.5 year old liked the fresh herb ones.”

“We had a wonderful time visiting the Surfing Goat Dairy! We came as a group of ten with people from age 6-70 and a good time was had by all! We did the casual farm tour and will be returning to do the baby goat experience as we enjoyed it so much! The tour was educational and the goats are adorable. We added the cheese flights and charcuterie to the end of the tour and that was a lovely way to sample their delicious cheeses and finish the day! We also bought some of the yummy truffles as well!”

“My family enjoyed every part of our tour at the Surfing Goat Dairy. We loved interacting with the beautiful goats and learning about how the delicious cheese is made. This is such a kind and humane place and the goats are clearly happy and well cared for. After our tour, we enjoyed our cheese flight. It was hard for us to name a favorite of the cheeses presented, but 2 out of 3 named the sundried tomato the best! Thank you for a wonderful visit!”

“Great visit/tour of the upcountry working farm by Jay G. the owner/mgr of the farm. It’s obvious he loves his goats and takes pride in the farm. It shows. The ‘Kid Goat’ experience was really enjoyable. The goats are happy and well cared for. Made my day to hold a couple of them - a 1 week old and a 3 week old female. The flight of different goat cheeses was smooth, creamy and delicious.”

“Great stop in Kula to visit a working goat dairy farm. We went on the Daily Casual Tour which walked us through the farm learning about it operations. Visited the baby goat area & fed the bull & larger females. Tasted chevre, quark & a truffle as part of the tour - all delicious! Order a cheese flight when booking & enjoy a tasty treat made at the farm. We enjoyed the trip 😁”

“I had such a great experience doing the evening chores. You learn so much and the cheese samples are simply divine. Definitely recommend trying some of the food at the gift shop (particularly the goat cheese truffles!), but do know the servings are HUGE so come hungry!”
