Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Utah.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

What visitors say

“We were traveling through Parowan, a really nice town, just off I15. I stumbled into Sweet Pea Farm, the coolest place, as we were staying nearby. They are a farm to table restaurant and they serve up great coffee and breakfast sweets as well as sandwiches and other eats. The farm is right there, surrounding the small restaurant building, and there is an incredible place to sit outside (in season). The people we met were both kind and clearly passionate about what they do, with fresh healthy ingredients without pesticides or herbicides. We had a great craft coffee (hard to find in Parowan) and then got a turkey croissant sandwich to go which had fresh sprouts and a sliced heirloom tomatoes. Mmmm! This place is a hidden gem stop by their farm to table restaurant and say hi and enjoy some great eats and a wonderful spot.”

“We were visiting a friend in Parowan and were lucky to be there for Farm Breakfast! My husband and I had the Farm Famous French toast with berry butter and maple syrup, and the California toast. Everything was amazing! Both menu items were made with fresh sourdough bread, and fresh ingredients grown on the farm. The berry butter was a delicious addition to the French toast, the greens and tomatoes on the California toast were fresh, sweet and delicious, and the eggs cooked to perfection! We also took some cookie bars home with us and they were very good! We enjoyed the beautiful laid back country vibe, and scenery of being on this little farm!”

“Get yourself to Sweet Pea not just for the ridiculously good breakfasts (with the best fresh bread and eggs you’ve ever had), but for the pick-your-own bouquets—we went today and not only were we encouraged to keep adding to our flower bundles, but the folks working there even gave us tips on choosing the most aesthetic arrangements and cutting the flowers so they would last longer! Check their instagram and website for breakfast specials but honestly, whatever you order is going to be 💯”

“Spent a little time here. Didn’t want to leave. The best plates of nourishment I can remember. The people who provide here are the sweetest. Lost my favorite sun hat here… really don’t mind. I know it is being loved on. ♥️”

“Delicious breakfast and fantastic service! Ordered the Farm Plate and Lemon Ricotta Pancakes... Highly recommended! Thank you, Sweet Pea!”

“Sweat Pea is certainly the most unique breakfast location in Parowan. I had the lemon and ricotta pancakes, which were fluffy and had a nice balanced flavor between the lemon and ricotta. Neither flavor was too overpowering but worked well together. My friends and I sat on deck chairs around a table next to the fields, which added to the ambience of a fram-to-table kind of place. The owners, chefs, and other workers were all friendly and the experience made me feel like I was having breakfast with extended family on a cool summer morning. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone who wants a unique experience plus great food.”

“We had a nice quick walk. Hoped to purchase some produce but the manager wasn't there. Maybe the wrong time of year. Will try to return in the fall.”

“The lady that owns this walks around with a huge chip from her shoulder. She’s never been nice to me, despite giving her no reason to be so unfriendly. Sad too because I love to support things like this.”
