“I just want to share that I appreciate the kindness of your heart and soul. The one star review about you being out of food is very rude and sounds like someone just had their undies in a bunch, you can't argue about time frame when Facebook literally tells you when the post was put up. Obviously that person didn't read that part to make sure it was recent. The amount of time and effort you spend to help your community eat is amazing. Although there are some who can't understand that it's an open table others collect from as well, your doing God's work on earth by filling stomachs of those who are hungry. Thank you for being you, even through the negativity you keep getting from greedy people.”

“Absolutely amazing community member & food rescue! I love this mission. I’ve been by a few times. My family has been lucky to score potatoes, and fruits! I love to can the apples & freeze potatoes for stews (the ones left fresh are awesome for baked potatoes!). It’s very helpful because those two items specifically I cannot grow at home due to our set up! I also heavily believe in the message of this place! It’s a food rescue, so the mission is created to ensure no food/produce is wasted, and most of it is grown locally! The dedication and work done here is amazing!”

“The gentleman running this endeavor works very hard. I sometimes miss when food is available, since Facebook's algorithm makes sure I only see posts whenever. So I make sure to check dates and times and look for current posts, so I know when I can be sure to get food if it's available! I am also trying to get my teen son to help glean, but like most teens he isn't very interested. Oh well, what's important is that the Tacoma Urban farm is run well, the owner is focused on community and generosity and I thank him for it!”

“They work very hard to bring rescued food to the community and it is first come, first serve and post when it is available. Because they are actively working do not have time to provide updates and this is always explained on their FB page. And they do have amazing volunteers often they are a one person team running the program. We are very lucky they do all this work to help the community as best as they can.”

“can’t thank Tacoma Urban Farm enough. My husband has a broken back and has been out of work, and with most of our money going to rent, it’s been a really hard time. They have helped us so much, and it truly has been a blessing. Thank you for working so hard to support families like mine — your kindness and dedication mean more than words can say. Tacoma Urban Farm is a gift to our community”

“Amazing place that offers free fruit and vegetables to the community. As a senior I really appreciate the help to put fruit and vegetables on the table that other wise would be difficult to do. A big pot of potato soup would feed my husband and I for a few days. And they do this out of the kindness of their heart. So appreciate them..”

“This a wonderful organization that helps families in need to exchange canned goods and they offer fresh produce and groceries for free when available. Recommend finding and following them on Facebook to keep up on notification of replenishing of goods.”
