A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in North Carolina.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“The Taylors were exceptionally welcoming. Darryl even invited us to milk his goat. The mid-July blueberries were delicious. It's about twenty minutes from Wilmington and worth the drive. FYI: it's currently $4 a pound. They also had homemade ice cream and frozen fruit drinks, friendly dogs and chickens running around.”

“Check this place out everyone. We took our kiddos and they loved it. We picked blueberries and the grounds are well kept. They have inflatables for jumping and beautiful animals for them to feed. Ask for some of the blueberry slushie drink. So yummy!”

“Picking blueberries with the fam here was the highlight of my day! The donkeys, horses, chickens, and doggos made the experience even better. Thank you Linda for helping us have a great memory (and giving the shoes off your feet)!!!”

“The blueberries are wonderful this year a super cool place to bring children under 10. Will be back soon as they also have their own hives and will have honey soon. Old timey charm makes you want to just hang out!”

“06/21 is the last open day of the 2025 season. Good sized, sweet blueberries, friendly staff, snack bar with blueberry ice cream and other treats.”

“Nothing against the farm activities and the farm produce part of this establishment what so ever. But recently they have renter there property for massive parties with extremely unnecessary loud music on Sunday afternoons through about 11:00pm. As a resident on the same lane that the farm is on it it very unsettling to witness tour busses panel trucks and limousines and we'll over 200 vehicles driving by my residence and then have to listen to Mariachi music shaking the windows of my house to the point of having to turn up my tv volume just to drown out the thumping of the amps. And to top it all off on a Sunday afternoon through the evening till late night. Not to mention trash and alcoholic beverage containers left on the lane and even a couple in my yard the next morning. Im sure they were compensated well for the use of the property but (WOW)!!!”
