Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Texas.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“What To Expect, Saturday Oct. 18 2025: $16.88 entrance fee gets you an armband for all day (entry/reentry); $25 for enough tokens for almost all rides. Umbrella or hats as it’s v hot and sunny. Food truck selection good. Shaded tents for eating and a few other things (beer, sitting down). Port-a-potties clean. Heat the main thing so water and sun cover recommended. Here with 10 kids. Expect a fun but boiling day, almost all activities are outside/uncovered. Worth a 30-40 min drive but probably not an hours drive. 🤷‍♂️ Of the 6 pumpkin patches we’ve been to this is best or second best. There is nothing to do here for babies (understandably…). THE HAUNTED HOUSE IS TERRIFYING FOR TODDLERS FYI”

“Awesome place for kids and adults. Lots of pumpkins and gourds. The staff are all very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. My favorite ride is the pirate ship. Great food and lots of vendors. Highly recommend the candy apple. I liked that a portion of the profits go to the vfw that the fair is located at.”

“This was our first year here and it was absolutely amazing. It may not seem like a lot but you definitely need to have about 5-7 hours to be able to do everything. All the employees and vendors were so nice and helpful. Definitely coming back again”

“My friends and I came to take fall pictures and it was such a beautiful experience! Thank you to Brady for helping us find good spots and for encouraging us to try the haunted house! We had a blast”

“Such a fun experience! My best friend Connie works at the sit and spin y'all go say hi! Great great people and f great time with family”

“The Texas Pumpkin Fest is like any other pumpkin patch in the Austin area! They have way more pumpkins to choose from than other places we have been to, and they have rides for the kids including spinning cups, a mini ferris wheel, a rocking ship and a mechanical bull, all of which are included with admission. They also have a magic show and wrestling matches (although they are both a little cheesy, you can tell they're put on for the kids). There are lots of fun photo opportunities, including props of favorite characters from Disney and Barbie. We went on a Saturday after lunch and it was pretty packed, but parking was organized and easy. Bring extra cash for the food vendors, as well as for some of the rides and activities that are an additional cost.”

“Me and boyfriend went together. we are both 16 and had a blast. it was definetely more for younger kids, which we saw a bunch of. It was, pricey but it was worth it. We saw live music, the food was great, a lot of cute spots to take photos.”

“I’d say this place is best suited for kids around 5 and under. The free attractions are pretty cool, but the token attractions are definitely pricey. At $3 per token, it feels a bit steep in my opinion. My brother really enjoyed the VFW bar, and the Hall of Monsters was pretty cool too. Overall, it’s worth experiencing once, but I’d consider it a one-time visit.”
