Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Idaho.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“I recently visited this charming pumpkin patch! My best friend and I have made visiting this lovely ranch our Fall Break tradition. Berry Ranch never disappoints as the perfect way to kick off the fall season. The moment we arrived, we were greeted by the vibrant colors and the earthy, sweet scent of autumn. Berry Ranch is located conveniently on the side of the highway and free parking is offered. The entrance was beautiful to look at, there were many pumpkins scattered about in front of its signature red barn. My friend and I took a hayride to a large field that contained a variety of pumpkins in all shapes and sizes. We just had to take pictures. What struck me the most about this pumpkin patch was how welcoming the atmosphere was. Families and friends of all ages were searching for the ideal pumpkin to take home. There were farm animals and many fall activities for children to engage in. The hayride and affordable prices make this patch a great destination for families. After the hayride, we went inside the farm stand, which offered many more pumpkins, along with some seasonal fruits and vegetables. We bought three small pumpkins and left with a sense of nostalgia and with the most perfect pumpkins to paint. Berry Ranch is the kind of place that reminds you of the simple joys of the season and provides lasting memories. If you're looking for a fun fall experience and kind customer service, this pumpkin patch is a must-visit!”

“Such a fun, friendly place! My 6 and 9 year olds loved it! Unfussy and a great place to play and pick. I didn't realize you had to pay up front ($6 each) but they held that money and then used it toward what we picked. At the end of it, we paid $23 for 3 people, got 5 clamshells of rasberries and blackberries, 8 sweet corn, 2 tomatoes and 3 cucumbers and my boys had a lot of fun running around. My boys also had a blast playing on the swing, seeing the baby cows and playing with one of the boys that lives there. It is a little wild, so wear good shoes and don't be afraid of a little mud/dirt and water!”

“Very special place. A real working ranch you can visit, pick your own berries and pumpkins, and visit the animals. The place is really hopping in the summer when fruits and vegetables are in season and the ranch also sells their own chicken, beef and lamb. Fun place, limited hours, so check their website. Highly recommend. recommend.”

“Went out to pick raspberries and ended up getting blackberries that changed my life. Could have spent hours picking, but we ran out of room in our containers. Kid friendly we brought a 4 year old and a week old newborn. Few mosquitos in the morning so spray yourselves and enjoy.”

“I love hunting for pumpkins in their pumpkin patch every October. This year (2025) the pumpkins are amazingly good quality! Bring gloves and mud-boots and go treasure hunting. It's fun.”

“The most adorable little farm! Such a huge selection for a great price. Everyone was super friendly and they provide wheelbarrows for you to bring everything back to your car!”

“Smaller, but more pumpkin selection, less people, has fun stuff to the kids like toys, hay rides, pumpkin bowling, animals. 2 years in a row now.”

“I'm sure this is a nice place for you to bring your family and pick berries. I don't typically leave bad reviews but when someone is obviously in the wrong it deserves at least a second thought. I brought my family, expecting sunshine on the weekend but turned out to be rainy. The path was extremely muddy, I don't have a problem with this. We just didn't happen to wear boots and to go and get them and come back they would have been closed. I asked for a refund, and the lady at the counter refused my refund. If you think you have a right to somebody's money without an honest exchange of goods or services, that is wrong, plain and simple. $20, a drop in the bucket. The audacity, worth it just enough for me not to come back.”
