The Fayetteville Farmers Market

“Great place to spend the Saturday mornings. Cute little stalls with all local and fresh produces. The environment is very lively and laid back. People are very friendly and helpful. You can find eggs ( chicken, duck, etc) from local farms, bunch of flowers, fresh veggies, all other cute stuff. There are some bakers selling fresh nice croissants and other baked goodies too. Try to be there at your earliest convenience, they run out of stuff otherwise. Don’t worry about parking, there are ample of free spots in surrounding neighbourhood. A must visit if you are in Fayetteville area.”

“Always a good experience, esp when I am able to get there right after 7am. I don't like big crowds but going between 7&8am makes for an easy time going around twice and getting all my favorite stuff! The people who run the mushroom stand are an every Saturday stop at this point! We got fresh strawberries today, along with garlic bulbs, scapes, green onions, carrots, chocolate cheese, mushrooms and a Venus fly trap! We'll be back plenty more before the season is over!”

“A must experience in Fayetteville! Live music, home grown food, hand picked flowers, and hand made items! Fat Top Farm sells the most amazing mushrooms grown indoor year around! If you like mushrooms, you must check them out!”

“I walked around quite awhile and noticed some good coffee and live music. I bought some seasoned BBQ peanuts that were perfect for me. Not to much heat but lots of flavors. This is a very historical place. The Union forces camped in the town square and bombarded the Confederate forces in the valley below. But it was not much of a fight because of the Union soldiers generosity. A great stone courthouse is right there to see. I met the local dairy man and bought some cheese and ate it right away.”

“Wonderful farmers market. Love that it's downtown on the square. Got there late so options were limited or some farmers/vendors were already sold out. Feel like it needs more local farmers than those selling produce from warehouses. Just my opinion. Still a great market and atmosphere. Will update next time I return.”
