Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Indiana.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“Tuttles Orchard is so adorable and fun!!! They always have fun activities going on. I love their farm store and cafe. I look forward to buying their farm fresh products and I love how the cafe is open year round!! Food is absolutely amazing! It's so nice to have it close by, a cute, cozy, country escape. “The staff was extremely helpful trying to figure out what I wanted to order. The sandwich I picked out was incredible and the apple sauce was one of a kind. I was incredibly shocked how delicious everything was. Chatting with the staff, they mentioned all ingredients were sourced locally. Incredible meal. It was the highlight of my trip to Indiana.”

“This is a very cute little shop next to the apple orchard! All the workers are very sweet and welcoming to new comers. I tried a sample of a home-made aoli and it was to die for!!! There was a BOGO deal on some treats so I bought for my coworkers 😊”

“We went to Tuttle for the strawberry fest. It was pretty busy, but the lines were moving efficiently. We had a BLT and a pull pork sandwich. Both were pretty good. The housemade applesauce was smooth and tasty. The strawberry donuts and the farm store was a plus. We got some goodies and samples at the farm store. There was plenty for the kiddos to do at the park. They seem to be having a great time. I bought a lettuce plant from the greenhouse and ate some strawberry shortcake. I would prefer for the strawberries to have a honey drizzle for a natural sweetness. The angel food cake was good though. I will be back next year. We had a good time.”
