Very Mulberry U-Pick

“If you’ve never tasted a mulberry before, you absolutely need to visit this farm. Try them fresh and you’ll fall in love - they’re that good. If you prefer sweet, go for the black ones. If you like a sweet‑tart flavor, pick the purple ones. We ended up eating so many right there on the farm that we almost gave ourselves a stomach ache before finally controlling ourselves! Parking is straightforward - you can pay an extra $10 for VIP parking right next to the farm. Regular parking isn’t too far, but if you want convenience and less hassle, the $10 is worth it. Tickets are $8 for ages 5 and above, and it’s $6 per box at checkout. Totally worth the price. Even with a busy crowd, the farm is well managed. They give each group two picking containers, and they’re great quality. Picking is very easy - even a 5‑year‑old can reach and pick berries without trouble. We had an amazing time and ate enough mulberries to last us an entire season! We’ll definitely be back next year. I’d recommend going early to enjoy it more before it gets crowded. It felt like we were having a little picnic in the farm. Be prepared though - it can get messy, especially with kids eating the berries! There’s also a short train ride available for $4 per person. It’s best to book early since it can sell out. The train takes you to the far side of the farm, which most people don’t walk to, and then brings you back to the entrance. By the end of the day, the area can get a bit dusty since the train path isn’t watered. Another highlight is the food area - good quality, nicely selected vendors, and plenty of variety. Overall, Very Mulberry U‑Pick is doing a fantastic job. Keep it up!”

“If you love mulberries, this is a must go to get your fill of mulberries - both white and purple mulberries. If you don’t know what mulberry is, you should check it out and you’ll see how tasty mulberries are. Due to the farm being at Brentwood, plan to arrive early so that you beat the heat of the day. It can get really hot out in Brentwood so this is a fair warning. The mulberry farm is very well run as in the two years that we’ve been, they’ve grown, and they’ve managed it well despite the growing mass of people coming. And there’s plenty of mulberries to pick off the trees still. There was so so much mulberries this year that they were even doing BOGO offers so that people help pick out the trees and not let them go to waste. Children ages 4 and above is good as they are capable to start plucking some. Under age 4, be very careful so they don’t end up hitting themselves or others with the picker provided on site”

“Well organized family fun u-pick Mulberry farm. The tube on a pole that they supply works great and the berries are so large that you can afford to pick and choose the best looking Mulberries. The train ride is a nice addition for kids. Don't eat before coming as they have quite the variety of food tents.”

“Highly recommended for berry lovers. There were mulberries within easy reach. Kid friendly, ample of regular parking~ quarter mile walk, VIP parking (10$) is right outside the farm. Clean restrooms, shaded benches and drinking water available.”

“Excellent experience and SUPER sweet & tasty berries 😋 may be hot but farm offers lots of shade space under the trees. No mosquitoes. Plenty of parking.”

“What I learned from this experience is that I absolutely do not like the taste of Himalayan mulberries, at all. We tried berries of all shades of ripeness and they are a 100% no go for us. We picked one box and bought it just for the photos. The crowds were legendary. If you don’t pay for VIP parking expect a long walk. There were berries everywhere. I was able to clean my shoes when we got home but do not wear good shoes you care about to this. There was a line to get in that was as long as the line to leave. There were a lot of small children. If you don’t enjoy a lot of small children yelling and running around, you will not enjoy this. The berries are easy to pick but they try to force you to only have one berry picker per group. This is, of course, totally unreasonable. I eventually found one lying on the ground so we both had one. This was important before we tasted them, and then it didn’t matter. :// The berries are very, very expensive. $8 for a box, and the box holds maybe a pint? Hard to say as the boxes are longer and flatter than the pint-sized berry boxes you see at the grocery store, for example. So, just be aware—few berries for many dollars. We left pretty quickly. We got some photos and there was nothing else we wanted to stay for. Down the same road was a cherry u-pick farm and THAT was fun!! We stopped there to make ourselves feel better about the 90 minutes it took to get there. Picking cherries was way, way more fun and way, way less crowded. In part the crowds are due to this being the only u-pick mulberry farm in the area (supposedly also in the US?), but I still don’t get it…they don’t really taste good.”

“update: decided to pay a second visit after a decent first visit. unfortunately this time i had to throw out $30 worth of mulberries. during this visit there was noticeably more fruit flies than the previous visit. when i came home i soaked some of the mulberries and a large amount of fruit fly larvae came out. i quickly went to check the other boxes of mulberries in my fridge and they were quite literally infested with fruit flies larvae. i had to throw out the mulberries after several rounds of salt and baking soda soaks and throughly cleaned out my fridge. i know this is an organic farm but the sheer amount of fruit fly larvae was astounding. the attached photo and video doesn’t capture the true amount of larvae coming out of the mulberries. there won’t be a third visit. original review: the mulberries were very sweet and the tools they provided were helpful. it was on the pricey side as we had to pay an entry fee and they charged per box not by weight.”

“If you compare the size of the old and new containers provided by Very Mulberry, you will realize how much less you are getting. Reason provided by Very Mulberry for the change was that the old ones were not available. Photos attached show the comparison between previous $8 container (April 2026) and the current $6 one (Memorial Day in May 2026). The new one is shallower and narrower. It is not even long enough to fit the long mulberries without bending them. Very disappointing. I will definitely prefer paying $8 for the bigger container if it is an option.”
