Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in North Carolina.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
  • Payment notes on file: American Express, Discover, Mastercard, VISA. Cash still helps at smaller stands.

“MUST TRY Okay… I have been a fan of this place since I first walked through the doors years ago. I came in a couple weeks ago and had the oatmeal cream pie ice cream and was swept off my feet. Today, we came in for some produce and I saw this gem! This is by far the best oatmeal cream pie I’ve ever had! These have such a nostalgia for me. My mamaw used to keep the Little Debbie’s in a cookie jar since I was a child. It’s like a Little Debbie times a million! The flavor. The softness. It brought back so many good memories for me. Something so simple and so great. Please don’t stop. God Bless y’all and thank you”

“Tons of strawberries to pick, at a great price, and you get to keep the bucket! Such lovely memories made! Also enjoyed ice cream when we finished picking. The market had a great selection of veggies, meat, cheeses, and honey. Easy to find and they had a discount for paying cash but do take card as well.”

“Beautiful crops to pick from. Lovely merchandising of fresh fruits and vegetables and jars of a wide variety of things inside the structure. Tjey also sell fresh meats and Plants. Picnic tables and hand washing stations make have their Ice cream easy. Great people there.”

“friendly and knowledgeable staff. welcoming atmosphere. Strawberries were beautiful and juicy. You get to keep the bucket 🪣 you use. Great prices! inside you will find produce, bird seed, canned goods as well as fresh produce and icecream.”

“Lovely place to get fresh fruit and veggies. We mostly went for strawberry-picking at the end of May and still found plenty of big and very sweet strawberries. Very nice jam/jelly selection as well. Strongly recommend”

“We were invited to a birthday party at White Hill Farms and it was wonderful ! The kids enjoyed it, the staff was extremely friendly, and the store had a great selection of locally made items. We will be back!”

“Really nice place. I got a flat of pre picked strawberries and they are really good. First time there. Nice place. They have a lot of other items as well.”

“The purpose of the trip was blackberry picking. The blackberries were delicious; better than store bought ever. The area around the vines was overgrown making it uncomfortable to walk for younger children. Some grass was tickling our knees. It was wide enough for a mower and a trimmer to get in there. Some vines were in need of being re-theaded through their fencing. Also, there was a smell. It was not the odor of an animal farm, but the smell of a rotten dumpster.”
