What you can pick

In October, check what’s currently ripe before you go. Seasons below are typical windows for North Carolina, not a guarantee for this exact farm.

Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in North Carolina.

  • Check whether this stop is a stand, orchard tour, or full farm experience before you arrive.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“Absolutely the best strawberries I've had in a very very very long time. The strawberries had a lot of flavor and they were super sweet like when I was a kid. Speaking of kids, they have a great sandpile for kids to play in!”

“I delivered 80 yards of chocolate mulch this morning first time there, nice place the owners were great people very nice i would recommend them to anyone”

“Quality strawberries to pick along with kind and courteous people to help you! Definitely a place to go back to time and time again!”

“Excellent Srawberry farm! Nice people and a fun little spot for the kids to play. Strawberries are delicious and worth the drive.”

“Love there strawberries. Very sweet. Nice place and they very nice people.”

“Best tasting berries! Try them you will not be disappointed! 😍”

“Great family owned farm”

“I've emailed inquiring about compost with no reply, so my SO drove over to ask. He was met by a lady who ended up being the owner. He asked about compost and her response was, "I wish my husband would sever his business from mine!" She seemed really put out, wouldn't give any info about how to contact her husband or when a good time would be to come back to meet with him. Not sure what the deal is between her and her husband, but she was so rude that we will not be getting compost or ever returning to get berries. Have a little better customer service! I can get my berries across the street and Spivey farms.”
