Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in New York.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“🍂 Fall Adventure at Wickham Farms – Penfield, NY 🎃 If you’re looking for a festive fall outing near Rochester, Wickham Farms is definitely one of the most popular spots — and you’ll see why the moment you arrive! From vibrant pumpkin houses perfect for photos, to rows of pumpkin patches, corn mazes, hayrides, and apple picking, this place offers the full autumn experience. The farm is beautifully decorated and packed with Instagram-worthy scenes everywhere you turn — like the wooden pumpkin cabin glowing under the golden sunlight and the charming old fire truck display that brings out nostalgic small-town vibes. Inside the market, you’ll find a lively crowd browsing fall treats, gifts, and bags of fresh popcorn under cheerful pumpkin lanterns. One of the highlights here is their apple cider donuts — warm, soft, and packed with cinnamon flavor — though they are on the pricier side. The farm overall feels a bit commercialized, but it’s still a fun seasonal destination for families, couples, and anyone chasing that perfect fall photo. 🍁 📍Wickham Farms, Penfield, NY 🎃 Great for: Pumpkin patch, apple picking, hayrides, and photo ops 🍩 Must-try: Apple cider donuts 💬 Tip: Visit early or on weekdays if you want to skip the crowds!”

“What an absolute gem! Wickham Farms is a delight every time my wife and I visit. Usually we just grab some apple cider donuts and something to drink, but this time we decided to try out the attractions. There is so much to do! It’s wonderful. For ~$20 each we went through a corn maze, played some mini golf, rode some tricycles, played basketball, and rode the zip lines. I took the day off and went during the day, so there were very few people. My wife and I had a blast. There are so many things obviously made for kids, but even so we still had fun trying them. The zip lines are tall enough for adults and are so much fun. The tricycles are different sizes and we had no trouble fitting in the larger ones and just racing each other around. We also rode the little train and had a nice chat with the conductor. Of course we also grabbed a bag of apple cider donuts. They were made fresh and just warmed the soul. I highly recommend coming here on your next day off during the season! Thank you for a great time Wickham Farms!”

“Spent the day here with our family celebrating my son’s first birthday and I cannot say enough amazing things about the whole experience! The grounds are huge and there is SO MUCH for kids to do. My 3-year-old son loved feeding the goats, riding the tractor up to pick apples, and playing on all the playground areas. We had a hard time getting him to leave the barn full of dried corn- a toddler’s dream! The staff were all so friendly and the food was delicious. I enjoyed a balsamic chicken pita wrap and some hard cider and of course the warm apple donuts are amazing. Everything was so clean and well- kept. If you are looking for a family friendly place to spend a day, it doesn’t get any better than this!”

“One of the best days of my life with my family. I am grateful for the initiative and commitment of the administration of this farm. What a beautiful place, and the staff is incredibly friendly. It made me think about how wonderful it would be to have one of my own. My kids enjoyed every little detail; it's designed with all ages in mind. The activities are endless, as is the fun. The prices are super affordable. The bathrooms were very clean. I had experiences that I’ve only had once in my life. Definitely worth every penny.”

“Visiting from Florida and spent the afternoon here with my family, such an amazing experience! I was so impressed with all the family-friendly activities, clean and well kept facilities, delicious food, and courteous staff. We picked some beautiful sunflowers and super tasty apples! I am so grateful family-owned farms like this and am only upset it’s not closer to home! Thank you Wickham family for sharing your farm with us.”

“The farm always has something fun going on! I went to the sunflower spectacular event and the flowers were so beautiful. There are many photo ops and displays throughout, and you can pay to pick your own flowers/bouquet as well. Delicious drinks, food and the donuts especially! Great place for a family with kids, as there are a lot of family-friendly activities. I’ll be coming back for the autumn displays and apple-picking!”

“My two year old loves it here and so do I! It was the perfect place to spend my 30th birthday with my family. The birthday cake cider was a nice treat and the flowers were spectacular. Building our own bouquet for $25 was so much fun and well worth it! Such a great day. The views are stunning- great place for photos for any occasion!”
