“Asheville NC, ASAP (Appalachian Sustainable Agriculture Project) Asheville City Market , N Market St , downtown Asheville. Winter hrs Sat 10 am-1pm , Apr-Dec 9-noon on Saturdays In the winter the market is smaller but its still a great place to get delicious homemade bread ( 2 vendors the day we visits plus a dessert vendor) as well as winter greens, fermented products, fresh spring flowers and lots of other local items. See their website for details. We are always happy to support local farmers and their products are always so fresh and great tasting. Almost always there are musicians playing which creates a nice atmosphere. Well behaved dogs are allowed in the less busy season too. If you are a visitor its fun to visit to get some local vibes and maybe something to take home.”

“I work at a business on this street on Saturdays and every weekend I always meet some of the kindest people selling FANTASTIC foods, goods, and produce. Carolina Flowers are always a hit. Four Sisters are peak pastries. Worthy Baker is so great to talk to and their jar pies HOLY COW! That is just a few of the best local options that are there almost every Saturday morning. The people running the show are great too! Always kind and willing to chat if they aren’t busy. Honestly, if I didn’t have to be here on Saturdays, I would still come just to talk to the amazing people. If you haven’t been… what are you even doing? COME GET THE BEST LOCAL GOODS!!”

“Fun market! I was visiting from out of town and wanted to check it out- it was easy to get to after stopping nearby to check out another business. My dog found the dog treat vendor Pawsitive Bakes right away and got a lot of attention. Most of the vendors seemed like they came from very close by (produce, eggs, fresh pasta, coffee, etc) and there were plenty of customers but not to the point where it felt crowded.”

“Wow! Top notch Saturday Farmers Market :) alot of different Farm Vendors selling High quality Local, Seasonal, Organic Produce and Products! The Market accepts EBT / SNAP !Local Honey, Local Breads and Baked goods, delicious homemade granola, Handmade craft items and much more! Support the Local Economy and purchase High Quality”

“We’re traveling from out of town we decided to go to the local farmers market. What a great little find all you need is about an hour or two no snacks, bakery goods all different types of farmers market stuff. Nice quality, healthy something for everyone. Parking is a little tough.”

“Excellent market with lots of variety! Of course, get there early for the best selection because this is also a popular market, so they can be a little more picked over the closer you get to closing time. #eatmoregreens Be sure to check out Hominy Creek Farm Microgreen :)”

“Wide variety of veggies, baked goods, honey, plants (veggie starts, herbs, houseplants), other foods and vendors of jewelry and things; all made or grown here in Western NC. Music and nice people too.”

“Great vendors. Great atmosphere. Love the fresh produce and bakery goods. Also, beautiful cut flowers.”
