Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Massachusetts.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
  • Payment notes on file: Mastercard. Cash still helps at smaller stands.

What visitors say

317 reviews on file · showing 8 visitor notes from the listing data.

“We were on a short driving trip in the Berkshires and one afternoon we stopped at Bartlett’s Orchard to pick some apples. You get your bags from the farm store and then drive up the hill to the picking area. It is self serve at the picking area. A large grassy parking lot. Rows of trees are well marked as to the type of apples. After you pick enough, go back to the farm store to pay. Very easy. Not too cheap but very tasty apples.”

“We’ve been going to Bartlett’s Orchard in Richmond for years, and it never disappoints. The food is always fresh and delicious, the staff is friendly and welcoming, and of course the fruit is top notch. It’s the kind of place that feels like a tradition—something we look forward to every season. Whether it’s picking apples, grabbing cider and baked goods, or just enjoying the atmosphere, Bartlett’s always delivers a great experience.”

“On my way from, Pennsylvania to Worthington I stopped off here at Bartlett’s Orchard. The bakery had a large selection of pies, donuts and treats. Apple picking was BEAUTIFUL at this location. The donuts are absolutely delicious! This will be my go to for fall picking spot for years to come. I picked on a Friday during the afternoon. No crowd at all. I went by myself and found it to be amazing 💖”

“What a great way to spend your time! A shop filled with local & special treats. Pastries! Beautiful cider doughnuts! Don't even try to leave the shop without a box filled with the delicious goodies. The apple orchard is lovely. Filled with smiling & happy folks. Many different choices of apples. Hopefully you can even carry your packed bag of lovely apples. Relax & enjoy your visit...”

“Visited the orchard on the very last day and last hour of Apple picking weekend! There were plenty of Ida red and Jona golds left and a few McIntosh! Opted for a medium sized bag which held a decent number of apples. Definitely worth the visit! Can’t wait to be back next year :)”

“Great people, Beautiful views with some of the sweetest apples I’ve eaten. The bake shop has some amazing baked goods with fresh cider. I haven’t been back in a few years but it was worth the trip.”

“This place has the very best apple cider doughnuts. Other pastries are good to. The little store has a nice collection of stuff. Self Serv ice coffee was good”

“Was looking for good hot apple cider. They were out of it. What kind of apple farm outlet does that in peak fall season. Disappointed. The store was ok … but will try other farms.”
