“We really enjoyed our time at Big Island Bees. The honey samples are delicious and the paid tour (with samples)was well worth the education. The staff were very knowledgeable and enthusiastic (and even entertaining). The tour was just the right amount of time for our attention spans and the set up was really well done. I kinda wish we’d seen more of the honey production process as the tour was heavily bee focused, but it was still really great to see and learn. I would totally recommend taking the tour and buying from Big Island Bees. 🐝”

“Our tour at Big Island Bees was absolutely amazing! It was incredibly informative, and we learned so much about the bees, the honey-making process, myths about “saving the bees”, how to actually make a positive difference, and the history behind it all. Our guide was hilarious — truly some of the best bee jokes I’ve ever heard — and made the whole experience fun from start to finish. The honey tasting was a highlight too; every flavor was so delicious. I absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Big Island! 🐝🍯”

“This tour was my favorite activity that I did while on the Big Island, and that’s saying a lot considering I also went snorkeling with the manta rays and visited the volcano national park during an eruption. As someone who considers saving the bees to be of significant importance, I can’t believe how little I knew about them and how much I learned from just this one tour. Some highlights from our tour were trying all the delicious honey, seeing the queen bee in her hive, and witnessing a bee birth!”

“This was such a SWEET and BUZZY place! We didn’t have time for the tour, but it’s worth it to stop by and see the museum area with the art and see the bees in the corner. We also had a tasting and came away with a bunch of yummy treats and presents for folks back home. The lovely guy at the counter was a delight and told us all about the bees, the honey & art! Next time we’ll have to take the tour too”

“We had such a great time doing this tour. We learned a ton, the guide is awesome, she loves her job and you can really feel that through the experience. The honey is also amazing, we bought a bunch of gifts! If you are looking for something different I strongly recommend Big Island Bees!”

“Great honey! Great tour! Me have visited Big Island Bees multiple times, and it never disappoints. The tour is very informative. The gift shop is cool, with many different items and also historical things to see! Super cool! And did I say the honey is great? Well it is! Aloha! 🤙🤙”

“Very interesting! Jamie was a great guide. Very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Full of great information as well as "fun facts". She made it as fun for all ages.(our tour had ages 5-70 years old) Would highly recommend this to anyone!”

“Really enjoyed the short tour and getting to see all the bees. The gift shop was really nice as well, with a good assortment of honey and honey-related products and some art. Great experience overall. Would recommend.”
