“Overall, we had a great experience at Hala Tree Coffee. The staff were engaging and funny. We went on the complimentary coffee farm tour and the paid brewing course. Both tours were fun and informative. We learned so much information about the processing of growing, producing, and brewing coffee. I think what stood out about these tours was the friendly staff. Kat and Margaret took great care of us and were so funny. I love that the coffee store had trial-sized bags for the adventurous souls who want to try all the flavors. The small bag also makes perfect souvenirs for the coffee connoisseurs in your life.”

“Friendly, fun, and informative. The free tour was quick and fresh, with samples at the end and a chance to buy from their local store. We paid for a 1hr brewing session with Kat and learned so much about water-to-coffee ratios, how the coarseness (or fineness) of the coffee grounds affects the flavor and uses (for drip coffee vs. French press vs. espresso), and how to brew our way into a delicious drink regardless of the coffee brand.”

“Very pleasant experience! We had a wonderful coffee farm free tour :) almost private as it was conducted just for us and another couple. We learned a lot about coffee plantation, harvesting and roasting ;D The ambience was friendly and welcoming and the surrounding magnificent. Later on we could buy the coffee tasting option and drink the coffee on a terace with a view on the ocean. Highly recomended :)))”

“This is an amazing (free!) tour! We highly recommend it. Kat was our guide and she was charming, passionate, and really knowledgeable. And the coffee is AMAZING! It was incredible to learn about the land stewardship, their respect of the Japanese farmers who preceded their ownership, and their devotion to a healthy landscape. Our 11 year old daughter really enjoyed it.”

“Pretty sure me and our coffee expert/guide were besties in another life. My husband and I had so much fun laughing and joking with her. Kat, I hope I’m spelling her name right, and her pup Ginger were so so much fun! This tour was a great start to our morning. The information was amazing. Coffee, even better! Id recommend this place and I’ll be back someday:)”

“What a wonderful experience. Staff were super friendly and knowledgeable. Not much walking which was great for my older parents. Grounds were gorgeous with mango, breadfruit, lime, guava and macadamia nut trees. Coffee was delicious. Bonus were the rescue dogs roaming around with us. Helped my kids with missing our own pups at home”

“We loved this tour! Everyone was so inviting, and we loved all the pups, and the coffee samples. It was so informative, and the coffee was absolutely the best. We purchased the 1/2 flight and it was perfect. If you're thinking of doing this tour you absolutely should. You won't be disappointed.”

“Very informative and delicious. The farm was beautiful and you felt totally immersed in the coffee experience. The coffee flight tastings were a fun way to try different roasts and getting to do this with a view of the ocean was epic.”
