A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in North Carolina.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“This family farm is beautiful! The owners are offering the leftover blueberries near the road for free! The blueberry bushes at the bottom of the hill are loaded. It's a wonderful experience and the owners are kind, hardworking, fun, hospitable and good earth keepers. I am grateful for a pesticide-free, community-oriented farm. Thank you!”
