“My granddaughter had never been on a horse, until today at Smith Hollow Farm in Kernersville NC. She just turned 18 and rode today. The staff was friendly and instructed from saddling to some points on brushing and then to riding. She thoroughly enjoyed herself. It beat a trip to the mall. The farm is quaint and I kept looking around and spotting more items including animals. The sheep dog riding in a golf cart with his nose in the air and paws on the dash and safely tethered in, was the cutest thing. He caught the frisbie too. I don't know his name though...I picture him being named Ollie lol It looked to be a beautiful venue for a wedding with Lilly pads in the pond in front of the couple's tiny cabin. I spotted a hayride wagon and could imagine a child's birthday party! It's a beautiful place with kind people running it. The horses were beautiful and healthy and their coats were shining in the sunlight. Their temperament couldn't improve from what I saw. I started riding at 6 years old. I'm so happy to return soon to let the other 2 girls take a turn on a horse. Today, Ella road Roscoe! A giant but gentle horse that knew he carried a new rider and didn't skip a beat. Sure footed as a horse comes! Was that an alpaca spotted through the way and oh! Nubian goats and a pig and chickens! I was totally impressed with the entire farm.”

“Had a really great time here. My best friend had his wedding here and it was amazing. The venue was absolutely gorgeous and had a rustic country vibe . Fair warning parking is a bit tight and the venue is not super big so large parties close to a hundred or more would definitely feel cramped. For smaller parties it would be perfect though. The place is also a bit dated of course considering the theme of it so getting a dj set up and running a bunch of other electrical could be a bit troublesome. Also beware depending on the time of the year it could be a bit toasty and the areas for the bridal parties to get ready dont have the best air flow. They do have staff that help to serve food and beverages during the event. You would of course have to hire a bartender or pay the venue to do so if you want to serve hard drinks. Its right in Kernersville which is crazy to see because most of Kernersville is subdivisions and shopping centers now adays and then all of a sudden there's a whole farm in the middle of it, but that North Carolina for ya!!”

“Our daughter came home for the first time since we took her to college in August, so we wanted to do something really special. We didn't just want to get our pumpkins at a box store, we wanted to have a wholesome family experience, and boy, did SHF exceed expectations! We loved the apple-chucking, the corn maze, the swings, the animals, and the picturesque ambience of a Hallmark movie. I think my favorite feature was the activity that allowed us to purchase a jar of water for $7, and pick all of the zinnias that we wanted to create our own unique bouquet 💐. We spent the most perfect day there, and can't wait to take our oldest daughter there when she comes to visit later this month. We have decided that this will be a family tradition that we will love for years to come!”

“We went here for their Fall Festival a little bit before Halloween and had a great time. It's a very nicely set up farm with lots of attractions and fun activities. They also serve some great food and refreshments.”

“Our family had a great time. Unlimited hayride was a hit for our granddaughter. The corn barrels, picking flowers, corn maze and toys were all little kid-friendly. We will return.”

“Its nice, well maintained. But, 15$ for two year olds is kind of outrageous. The common two year old cant participate in a majority of the side games they have set up. Just not worth the price for the amount of stuff a two year old can actually do. The actual pumpkin patch part was very small as well. Its a very cute fall farm experience though.”

“There’s not much to do for a toddler and they have a very few animals. My child is under 2 so we did not have to pay $15 for him. This is def a fun farm for older kids. The only bathrooms we saw were PolyJohn. The snacks are very affordable. We did enjoy the corn pit. I did not know they have a bakery, I missed that!”

“Beautiful area, but the dirt roads are hard to walk on for events due to the holes. Also, the Easter event while a great event is probably not really worth $60. But if you do go, get the Banana Pudding, it's amazing!”
