Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Illinois.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

What visitors say

284 reviews on file · showing 8 visitor notes from the listing data.

“My mom and I were first-time visitors and boy, this farm has become our favorite in such a short time! We first visited on 10/06/23 and bought apple cider and pumpkin donuts, as well as a pumpkin. The donuts are addicting! We drove from Chicago weekly just for the donuts up til the last Sunday, 10/29/23, the farm would be open for the rest of the year ☹️. The customer service was also great, the ladies were always friendly. We didn’t get a chance to get much of the veggies but we will definitely be back next year when they reopen for the season in April 😃”

“We absolutely love this farm. Extremely family friendly. We come very often. I love all the little events they have every month. My favorite is their fall fest. Especially the fact we don’t have to pay to enter their farm. Very affordable fun! The owners chat with you and are so kind. When they close for the winter my kids count the days down until they open again.”

“Considering we just went and it’s almost July, they still had a good plant variety. The cashier took the time to explain all the events they host at Bronkberry. They’ve got chickens and goats out back and you can buy popcorn to feed them, which was a ton of fun. For me. I’m only assuming the goats liked it too.”

“Love going in to see all of the different plants, flowers, and garden decor. My son loves to go visit the chickens and goats. The fall activities they have are my favorite! We’ve moved farther away, but always come visit any chance we get.”

“A charming, welcoming, expansive farm stand, with fresh, grown-on-property produce, fresh cheese, honey and eggs thanks to resident goats, beehives and hens, plus fun home decor. Absolutely recommend!!”

“Nice local farm and greenhouse with a good variety of flowers and vegetables, plus a small store with garden accessories, some canned goods, and fresh eggs.”

“We had such a great time there today feeding the goats and chickens. They had story time and a craft for my little one. The staff was amazing.”

“Very quaint with a nice selection of flowers and nic naks. Prices could definitely be more competitive. It's nice they have a little chicken pen and a goat pen. The kids and I can watch the animals and feed them popcorn while the Mrs. picks out flowers. Not a negative, but a fair warning. Don't wear thin-soled shoes. They have a fairly thick-chunk gravel, and I wore some old flip-flops. It was honestly painful to walk on their specific gravel. If you're prepared for it, you're fine.”
