Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Kentucky.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

What visitors say

“It’s been a few years since we’ve been to Buckmeadow farms, and it’s honestly the best pumpkin patch we’ve been to. I think $15 is more than a fair price for all the activities that they have and includes a pumpkin no matter the size. They have carts that you can use to carry the pumpkins back to your car. You can feed goats for $1, they have a snack shack (we love the walking tacos), and they just have so much for my kids to play with/on. The day we went, they had trick or treating in the corn maze and my kids received a surprisingly good amount of candy. Everyone there is also just so friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back next year.”

“Went for a special event for my friends church. Loved the hay ride and going to get the pumpkins with the kids, but everything was more catered to younger kids.Mine are preteen and teenagers. For younger kids it's definitely a go to place”

“This was our first pumpkin patch as a family of four. It was incredible! Lots to do for kids, and plenty of room to social distance! At the end, jump on the hayride and get a pumpkin for everyone in your group.”

“We just had our almost 3 year olds birthday party here. There is plenty for kids to do and our children especially love the bounce pad and riding the tractor. The staff are very friendly and communicative.”

“Very clean and well maintained equipment. Picnic area. Corn hole. Jumping pad. Plenty of slides and climbing apparatuses for kids. Excellent concession stand at affordable prices.”

“Great place to bring the kids. Good snack shack. Corn Maze is fun and a petting zoo. Hay ride is fun!!”

“Such a fun field trip for kindergarten. I think this farm would not be suitable for older kids as the activities are for younger ages.”
