A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Texas.

  • Check whether this stop is a stand, orchard tour, or full farm experience before you arrive.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.

“Burg's Corner, located near Fredericksburg, exceeded my expectations when I was on the lookout for a great place to enjoy ice cream in the area. The shop is spacious and offers an impressive variety of products, including jam, spreads, wine, bread, fresh vegetables, diffusers, gourmet items, and even meats. I decided to try their peach ice cream, and I was pleasantly surprised by how good it tasted. What's more, a single scoop of this delightful treat was generously portioned, easily shareable between two people, and reasonably priced at around $4. I also purchased a small bottle of their peach butter spread, which, while a little sweet, was quite enjoyable. Please note that the shop is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, but they welcome customers on other days until 5 pm. The staff provided friendly and helpful customer service throughout my visit. In summary, I highly recommend Burg's Corner for their delectable ice cream and the diverse range of products they offer. It's a hidden gem in the area that shouldn't be missed.”

“What a beautiful and absolutely amazing tasty treat. With a dull day and hoping to find a smile, I found myself here. Upon stopping in for some peach tasting treats, I seen it, Peach Cobbler and Homemade Peach Crisp Ice cream. So, I just had to try the two together and it was a place of heavenly taste from the Great Stonewall Texas, Where the peaches are and the lovely folks know how to cook with love. I sure appreciate the wonderful and appreciated homemade great tasting treats. Stay Awsome.”

“We walked out satisfied. They have available tasting of their products, but I would use other than salted crackers, because you can't taste the jams, honey etc over the salt. Would probably buy more but wasn't sure about the taste. They also have a big shelf of pickled products such as pickles, jalapenos and quail eggs. The peaches weren't in the best shape but we planned to eat them soon after so a couple bruised ones wasn't an issue. We are yet to try the peach wine. It sounded interesting.”

“This was a really good place to stop for everything peaches. Of course they have fresh peaches, but they have everything from peach cider to honey peach butter. Burg's Corner also serves several kinks of ice cream including, wait for it, peach! To fully immerse, I added a pureed peach topping. They have a small seating area where we had a chicken salad sandwich which was hugh so split it with someone. The LBJ BBQ sandwich is also popular.”

“We stopped on the way to Fredericksburg out of pure guess work to try peach ice cream and turned out to be a good experience. The quantity is good. Word of caution before visiting, if you want to buy peaches, the season is from May-September, But you can buy fresh pears, tomato, cucumber, Jam and pickle farm fresh here. Closed on Tuesday and Wednesday but open on weekends.HappyVisiting.”

“Absolutely delicious fresh fruit. They have wine made with their peaches. Lots of salsa and jams etc. Really really sweet young ladies working there. Love Fredericksburg peaches!!”

“Went Monday and bought $40 of peaches. They were Pretty, but Not sweet and mushy. Don't think they were True Fredericksburg Peaches. Will Not return. FYI, I called to discuss, No Answer.”

“Peach buyers, beware! I’ve been getting peaches all my life from the Stonewall area, and they should be the best in the world. But whenever someone doesn’t want you to touch the peaches or give you any samples to taste, that’s a red flag. 🚩 In this case, it’s unfortunate that Burg’s Corner has passed from one generation to the next. I noticed that some of the peaches were extremely cold that they were putting in the boxes to sell, and I should’ve known better than to take them when I knew that they’ve already been refrigerated or half frozen. We got home with them, and sure enough most of them were very pithy because they were refrigerated to the point of freezing, and then they brought them back out to sell the next day or two. Very disappointed in how Burg’s Corner is now operated. It used to be a great place to get peaches years ago……now just a waste of $30 on a tiny box of peaches….”
