Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Wisconsin.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“10/10 experience! Huge variety of apples, very friendly staff! Loved our trip to Cardinal Ridge Orchard. Beautiful place to walk around and smell the sweet apple scented air, would recommend to anyone in the area! Prices are beyond reasonable at $5 a bag! Don't forget to grab a jar of homemade jam on your way out! I will definitely be visiting next year!”
“The take-and-bake apple pie was out of this world, and that is coming from serial pie bakers! WOW! The crust was perfect (flaky), the apples thinly sliced and flavorful, and the spicing and sugar level just right. Kudos! We are looking forward to the Black Magic jam and fresh blackberries. Thank you!”
“Quaint and beautiful setting for a family-run, family-oriented organic orchard. A perfect place to spend an afternoon on the hillside among the flowers! And the apples, pies, cider and apple butter are pretty special, too!”
“We love supporting local family businesses, however, this is one of our favorites. Beautiful property and a beautiful family. We love the apples, frozen berries, apple cider. Keep up the great work!”
“Bag of apple, Carmel apple, Apple chips and the best jelly I've had in a very long time. All for 13.00$ plus they gave us 2 snacking apples for the road. We'll definitely be back. So friendly.”
“Highly recommend. Small family-owned orchard with delicious and highly affordable apples.”
“Nice apple orchard, lots of variety and the kids loved the Carmel apples”
“Very nice owners. Great apples and super pies.”
