“I love everything about this farm - the family that runs it, the berries themselves, and getting to visit the most gorgeous part of our state. Not only are there nickel sized berries, often times they are quarter sized! They are so juicy and sweet and perfectly ripe when you pick them!! The blackberries are also big and delicious (as big as my thumb!) and the bushes are thornless, which is amazing. The drive out to the farm is especially beautiful first thing in the morning during sunrise. You get to enjoy the rolling Flint Hills, everything is so green and beautiful, and there’s lots of wild and farm life to see along the way, including hummingbirds, deer, goats, longhorns, and horses. I’ve also seen a double rainbow and enjoy the winding and dirt roads you take to get there. Visiting CHF with one of my best friends has become our favorite summertime tradition together and we’ve made lots of yummy things with our berries over the years, like BBQ sauce, lemonade, muffins and pancakes. My favorite way to eat these delicious berries is by the handful, straight out of the bag, though. The Chadick family is so much fun to be around and so helpful when it comes to teaching you how to pick and have an enjoyable experience. Definitely arrive as early as possible to enjoy the cool morning temps, wear a hat and closed toe shoes, bring a big bottle of water and cash (no cards at the farm) and come ready to have the best day ever!!”

“I have picked blueberries a couple times here and every time I have had a great experience. The directions they provide on getting to the farm are very helpful and the owners are great people. If you ask about the berries -well, what can be better than fresh picked berries. I increase how many berries I get each time I go because I end up eating them faster than I expect. They are truly delicious.”

“Friday 6.24.22 was a gorgeous opening day! I have picked berries at CHF for many years and this was the best picking I can remember. There were so many berries I wanted in my bucket and everything I picked rolled into my hands like butter. I've already eaten many by the handful and baked muffins, which were delish. Thank you, CHF!”

“A picturesque drive through the scenic hills of southeast Kansas takes you to the cutest family owned blueberry farm! The plants were full of delicious berries, and the owners were a delight! They only take cash, so be prepared, and go early to beat the heat!! You can make reservations online for picking!! Check them out!!”

“So fun to pick with my daughter in law and granddaughter !! Cheaper than buying blueberries at the store, $32 a gallon bucket. We plan to freeze some and eat a lot right away, for an organic delicious snack!!”

“Friday, June 25th was a great berry picking day. The best crop I've ever picked. The blueberries look good, they are tasty, with good average size.”

“It was a disappointment. Very long drive from Wichita over a lot of rock roads. We were directed to bushes that had rather small berries - definitely NOT nickel size. The berries were ok but not super good. At their prices, I'll stick to the grocery store. Not a fun experience for 2 preschoolers!”
