“My girlfriend and I went there for the first time today, and we were just blown away by the experience. First off, the orchard is situated in an idyllic setting, just outside of Madison (15 minute drive for us from the west side of Madison). The fresh country air was a refreshing change from the bustle of the city, and made for some beautiful pictures and memories. Secondly, the staff was super friendly and welcoming, and made us feel like neighbors instead of visitors. And thirdly; they not only take the current COVID situation seriously, but have adapted and improved upon it as well. They have social distancing protocols in place, shields in place when dealing with customers/products, sanitation stations at regular intervals, and require face masks almost everywhere in the orchard. And yet, even with all of the safety protocols in place, they still made it a very enjoyable and fun experience for my girlfriend and I. We picked a 5 lb bag of apples ourselves, doing a mix of large Cortlands and the cutest small Jonafrees I've ever seen. Definitely a very fun experience, and we look forward to future visits.”

“Door Creek is our hands down favorite orchard. They have the most amazing curated selection of trees of heritage varietals and it's also a stunning setting. The staff are exceptionally knowledgeable, the cider is outstanding and the apples... The apples are incredible. Different varietals every week of the season - always a new and wonderful taste experience. It's clear the focus is on the fruit and we all benefit. We don't do pick your own much at all, as we're really there for the obscure apples that are pre picked, and we like visiting the sheep.”

Fell in love with Georgia the official orchard-golden retriever...our guide through the farms..Highly recommend for outdoor and out of the city experience..”

“Great place for apple picking with couple of minutes drive from Madison. The grapes were also in season when we visited here. It has a small ship farm which is a good entertainment for kids. Their apple cider is very good. One can purchase honey and other farm products there.”

“One of our favorite places to go each year. They have a great reservation system this year to help prevent the spread of covid. The land is gorgeous, the sheep are adorable, and the apples are delicious. Make sure to get one of the apple dessert treats with homemade caramel!”
