Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Oregon.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“We are so glad we could spend our daughter's 18th birthday at the French Prairie Gardens tulip festival! What an adroable family farm! Everyone was sweet. The views were amazing. The doughnuts are to die for! The frozen apple cider was crisp and sweet!”

“Beautiful and delicious. Stopped here for a quick snack during our trip and I am glad we did. The place is clean, smells fresh, and the lady here is super nice. The coffee and pastries are delicious. I’ll definitely stop here again.”

“Ill give it a 4. The overall experience was FUN! We started out at the market. The smell....phenomenal! The smell of all the beautiful flowers was indescribable! You have to be there and take a big inhale yourself. Inside the shop, giving it a 3. Looked like there was tons to choose from but really just alot of the same stuff. Ice cream. Coffee, frozen and canned goods. And of course some toys and merch. Nothing that stood out tho. Next we went to the food. Completely overpriced and the food got a 2 from us. The blended lemonade was mostly ice. The wrap had bad tomatoes, and watery dressing, and possibly chicken stripe cooked and reused from the day before. Not worth $18 especially with no side and it wasn't massive. It was a regular size wrap. The curly fries were very disappointing. Soggy and not hot which was weird cause it was made to order. Guessing the oil wasn't hot enough when they put them down. Also I didnt get beer but the gentleman infront of me wanted a growler and they had small lids no small growlers, and large growler but no lids. Anyway we paid about $50 for 2 drinks. 1 wrap, and fries. At least the lady who took our order was great never ever will we waste money for food there tho. On to the field. AMAZING! All kids of "playground fun" tire swings, some to climb on, obstacle course, some water pump fun, slides. Bubbles. Room to run or sit and relax and of course! The tulips. Keep in mind this is a new farm so it wasnt as many as we thought there would be. But they were beautiful! The colors were unreal! Sorta hard to get photos. You really need a good angle but so so pretty. So many colors. Tons of space to walk around and just soak up nature's vibes. Suggestions! Start by letting your kids play, skip the "food and snacks" hit the field last and day well spent!”

“There is ample parking, a cute garden center and store that has the most amazing strawberry rhubarb hand pies, bathrooms, and a lot of play areas for the kids. The tickets were $14.99 pp and included the gardens, covered tractor rides, and the kid's activities. There were several tulip fields with many varieties and they were beautiful.”
