Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in New Mexico.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“We had an incredible birthday pavilion experience at Galloping Goats! So many games and great attractions that kept our 35+ guests happy for the entirety of our 2.5 hours. The staff was totally accommodating from start to finish. Special thanks to Ms. Michelle who we organized with. She recommended a great time, 10-12:30, where the weather was fresh and not too packed as it was close to opening time (9AM). Galloping Goats seems to add and upgrade attractions yearly, which makes for a special experience each time. 😊 We could not be happier!”

“This place is amazing! The staff was on top of everything and so nice! If you have smaller kids 2-5 this place is actually perfect! There’s so much fun free stuff they can do and play with! I absolutely loved their little mud kitchen area, the corn pit is a literal must, and the Dion’s pizza and ice cream shop was amazing! It also wasn’t very busy! Highly recommend!”

“This place is absolutely amazing! They put so much time, effort and creativity into turning a parking lot into a magical fall retreat. I recommend anyone with young kids make this an annual fall favorite. So many animals and games to enjoy. The staff is great!! They are so welcoming”

“This is my 4th year in a row coming to this place. First year, I was pregnant with my son, now I take him every year, and he absolutely has a blast. The prices are great, and it’s a good time for toddlers. Love the petting zoo as well, and the fact that it’s close to home!”

“Great place for the younger kiddos! My 3yr old, 6 yr old and 10 yr old grandkids had a blast. I had fun with the paintball targets and the cute goats! So much for the kids to do!! And it's price is affordable for families.”

“We loved this pumpkin patch and well worth the visit! There was so much to do! We enjoyed every bit of our visit.”

“had a great time yesterday with my kiddos and grand baby, would have loved to be able too touch the cows but they had cows that bite so that wasn’t fun, had plenty of goats to touch and my grand baby had fun in there only thing was poor goats were so full by the time we got in there that they didn’t want to eat the cups of grain we paid for to feed them, maybe 🤔 if they were too rotate the goats so there’s hungry goats at all times 🤪🤪🤣🤣im sure that’s asking for to much though 😊😊🥰 the corn sandbox was a great idea my grand baby had so much fun in there she ran back to it when we were trying to leave 🤣🤣🤣 the maze was fun for all of us….. if you have high anxiety definitely go in with someone who can help you out….it’s not that big of a maze but my daughter has high anxiety (30yrs old) and she started to panic when she couldn’t find her way out and the baby (3yrs) was running wild in the maze (i think that’s what set her anxiety off more than the actual maze) thank goodness my grand baby found the way out before it got too bad for her 🥰 they had lots of games for kids to play and places to take pictures with family only downside was that it wasn’t very walker friendly there were too many potholes filled with sand and pieces of asphalt all around the place that it made it difficult for myself to walk around with my walker and try to keep up with everything around me we bought water as it was a hot day but it wasn’t cold at all that sucked too, but all in all we had a blast 😊”

“Venue says no outside food or drink but the line to get food and drinks was very long and slow moving. My son and I ended up rushing through and leaving early because we were so thirsty and line was taking too long. He felt rushed and cried when we got home and said he made a bad choice wanting to go to the pumpkin patch. Pumpkins are crazy expensive too so we didn’t do the experience of picking one. You can’t pet the miniature horses, donkeys or cows. Cows are double fenced so you can’t only look from afar. We drove an hour here, some of the activities were pretty cool but I don’t think we would go back next year. Wishing we had gone to McCall’s!”
