Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in New York.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
  • Payment notes on file: Mastercard. Cash still helps at smaller stands.

“This place is incredible. They have everything so fresh. They have pastries, pies, vegetables, cider and so much more. We picked up some apples, pears, cider, honey, apple cider donuts and vodka ! They have their own distillery too! It was really cool to see their distillery and smokehouse. My partner got their Brussel sprouts from their smokehouse and it was 10/10. Also- by far- this was the best apple cider donut I have ever had. It was so incredibly fresh and soft. Their cider was perfectly hot and it just made for a perfect fall day. Marcy was super cool and had some great recommendations in there. Over all the spot is fresh and friendly. They have a huge array of items to choose from. We came from queens just to try their donuts and it was beyond worth it. Def have to try!”

“We get all our honey and maple syrup here, plus of course apples! They also have delicious apple cider donuts, pies, and other baked goods like blue berry muffins, apple danishes, and cookies. We get pumpkins and mums here every fall. And peaches, pears, plums, strawberries, and fresh vegetables when they’re in season. Everyone is always friendly and helpful.”

“Get the apple cider donuts!!!! I come here to get apples and peaches a couple times a year. The staff is incredibly friendly and there is a lot of parking. Apples are always a hit here. The maple syrup is great too. The baked goods are okay. I ordered a blueberry muffin and got a cranberry orange one instead.”

“I visited this place 13 years ago while on a road trip from MS. I got the Cider Donuts. And for 13 years, I have told people about this place and how amazing their Cider donuts are. In my opinion, they are heavenly. After 13 years, I have returned to get more! And can't wait! 10/10 recommend.”

“I happened to be driving from Albany to Hyde Park in Oct and saw this place and decided to stop in. So glad I did! The apple cider donuts and warm apple cider were top notch!! So good I had to make a stop on the way back for more! I also tried the apple blossom and it was fantastic.”

“If you can find it, it is your favorite. Dan and Ashley are awesome and everything about the place is fun and delicious. I spent $165 but I went back for more. Don't be cheap!”

“Saw the sign for BBQ while driving by and decided to check it out. It's a diversified business with a lot going on: Farm store w fresh produce,, everything apple imaginable, BBQ restaurant, distillery, live music Friday nights. We had the pulled pork. It was good. The house BBQ sauce is called applejack, which makes sense since they started out as an apple farm. The apple cider slushy was delicious. But it took 25 minutes for our food (and all of the customers' food) to be ready. And while overall it was a good meal, it was not amazing and for me not worth the amount of time waiting. Glad I checked it out, but would not go back for BBQ unless I lived nearby.”

“Even though I moved to Florida nearly 10 years ago, it has been a highlight of my summer to visit this farm at least one time per year. Before I moved to Florida, I frequented this farm a handful of times each year, sometimes weekly during the summer months. It's a shame that over the last couple of years the service I have experienced here has decreased significantly, as well as the quality of the goods provided in the shop. Today, while making my annual visit, I was accosted by an employee who screamed at me from across the store. He rushed at me and proceeded to scream in my face about touching the peaches. He wouldn't leave me alone or stop screaming even when I was trying to calm him down. I did end up purchasing two small items before quickly exiting the store but I wish I had just left and never returned. Even though the entire store witnessed this man harass me, the employee at the checkout counter didn't offer any apologies for his behavior or ask if I was okay even though I was clearly shaken and close to tears. After she rung me out, and I was able to compose myself, I asked to leave a report about his behavior. Another employee heard me and reported that this has been a frequent occurrence and I am not the only person to complain about that man. She reported witnessing him harassing other customers in the same manner. She was, thankfully, very apologetic. First, I have worked in customer service and there are better ways to handle interactions with customers if they are doing something that is not appropriate. Second, customers should not be screamed at and harassed when they are simply looking at the items for sale. Third, other staff should step in and prevent this behavior or at least be apologetic to the customer and try to make it right. I am still extremely embarrassed by this encounter. It was uncomfortable and frightening. It was definitely unnecessary. The owners of this location should take every effort to prevent this from happening to another customer. I don't know if myself or my family will return to this establishment. There are many other local farms in the area with great, locally sourced products who are kind to their customers and don't allow their employees to scream at you when you are examining the items available for purchase. Very disappointed and sad with this interaction today. other information about this location: - Quality of product available for sale is usually very high - some of the best cider donuts available anywhere on the planet - the distillery is a must visit - great product(s) and excellent customer service”
