“One word RELAXING! It's so beautiful around! The service never seems to disappoint! Excellent breakfast at the lodge and dinner. We normally camp at the campground in a tent but this year opted for one of the cabins. It was small but for just sleeping it was perfect for the 3 of us. They have bigger ones also. Highly suggest coming out even if it's just once, but I doubt you will only come once! Great job Grave's family!”

“Took my wife here on a trip back from Luray Caverns Skyline Drive for our 10th anniversary. Could only stay one night I would have stayed a week if I could. Room was perfect for us but might be dated for some. Rustic camping fire pit experience with breakfast fit for a king and queen. Absolutely loved it the land and the animals. Recommend travelers' of all ages.”

“We stayed there overnight. They had a restaurant, music and a campfire. The next day our son could collect eggs, feed the goats and go on a walk with a pig. You can explore all animals in the farm. We absolutely loved it. The farmer is very nice and answered all questions that we had about the animals. Definitely recommended!”

“My favorite place to camp with the horses. Good trails, secluded, peaceful Applefest has plenty of nice vendors, fresh cooked food, fried apples, apple wine, Brunswick stew. Usually also have peach wine for sale, but I guess they already sold out this year.”

“Love this farm. Wonderful relaxing stay. Friendly staff. Will definitely came back. Horseback riding was great. Food in the restaurant was served family style and even though I'm gluten-free I had several options at most meals.”

“Great place with tons of fresh air, open land, and fun activities like horseback riding.”

“We used to bring the kids every year to to apple picking. They all got older and we have not been in several years. We decided to visit two weeks ago and were so disappointed. It has fallen into such a state of neglect. Buildings are falling. The hay bale playground is rotting away. The educational garden is just a weed infested mess. Many of the trees in the orchard are dying. Perhaps it was just a bad year for apples, but the fruit was terrible: mildewed, small, already rotting. I had to wade through chest-high weeds to find semi-decent apples. My stubbornness is the only reason why we didn't leave empty handed. We drove an hour to pick apples, and pick apples we would, doggone it! Most of them still sit in the box on the counter. It's such a shame because we all had such fond memories of visiting Graves Mountain. Even though we haven't visited in several years, we always intended to bring the kids every few years. However, after this year we will have to try a new orchard.”

“Went to this place with the intention to be able to pick some locally grown apples off an apple tree during the Apple Festival. This farm never has apples to pick. Last year it was bears. This year it was picked already. Definitely never going to their Apple Festival again. Total waste of time for our family. Apple Festival: it had many craft vendors, a live band (bluegrass when we were there), apple bins, hay ride, hay stack, hay maze, horse ride, hay bear, a small petting farm with animals in cages, and a run down farm.”
