“I didn’t even know this adorable little place existed. I was looking for a fun family outing this weekend and I landed on this orchard just 10 minutes from my house! As soon as we got out of the car we were greeted by the sweetest people who gave us directions of where to go for the best picking. (The dog that loved his/her pets and wagged their tail at me all friendly sure helped too!) There was a big covered picnic shelter there and a donut truck on site which definitely appealed to my 12 year old! Inside where you pay, they were also selling some berries, jellies, and looked like a cooler of cold beverages too. We picked the medium size bag for picking and went to town walking up and down rows of peach trees finding the sweetest looking peaches. We passed families with small babies and sweet pups, all having a good time despite the heat! Everyone was so kind and our family outing was just perfect. I cannot wait to try out my first homemade peach cobbler. And I must add that we picked up a container of blackberries there too and I’ve literally never had a better batch of berries. I will never drive an hour to the mountains again!!”

“Last year me and my courting partner went for apples, this year he and I went for peaches. I never liked peaches so I wasn't sure what to do when I got them. One, don't be like me and think because they're soft to the touch they will be on the face. Huge mistake, it wasn't soft on my face and I found out I'm allergic to the fuzz. Very itchy time. Second, I never knew about ripe peaches. Sadly at my age of 29 I didn't so I had no idea what to make, was very intimidated. I left them sit for about a week and got the courage to make something when I thought they went bad. After some research I discovered they were perfect for eating or baking. I fell in love after tasting these ripe peaches. I almost just ate them all instead of using them. I held back and made peach pie. The peaches weren't to blame for the pie not being to my standards but the recipe I used. The peaches were amazing themselves. I will now, as long as the Lord has me here and is being patient to return to Earth, get these peaches every year. They were so good. *picture was pie halfway done”

“My fiancé and I went peach picking the first weekend of the season! The atmosphere was so welcoming and the peaches were delicious. They were a bit underripe, but again— it was the very first day of the season. By the next day the ones I picked were soft and perfect for baking with! The orchard is absolutely beautiful and so well kept. I couldn’t believe there was such a lovely orchard so close to home in Mechanicsville! I would recommend wearing either sneakers or sturdy flip flops though—there is a gravel path leading to the orchard and a sharp rock got through my very flimsy flip flops. The staff was so kind and gave me bandaids and Neosporin to keep my small cut clean.”

“Very clean orchard and peaches are delicious. As for as the last 7 reviews I was there when they were in the orchard. I saw them being asked by an orchard staff member to stop picking multiple peaches and eating them and he was to “No”. After the owner came out to tell them to stop they then started to go thru all the bags and throw peaches they picked and then didn’t want to buy on the ground so they were asked to go pay and leave the orchard. Staff here has been nothing but nice and very friendly from what I have seen”

“We’ve been coming to Hanover Peaches for years. We love to buy local produce and support local farmers. The peaches are delicious and plentiful! We also picked up some homemade salsas to take home as well. The orchard is very well organized and family friendly. There were lots of kind folks available to direct you where to go, give you a ride into the field, ring up your purchases and even letting customers sample salsas and jellies. We are lucky to have this farm in our area!”

“This place is wonderful! Family owned and not a chain grocery store. You get to pick them yourself (total fun! Especially with kids) and the atmosphere is great. Not too far of a walk from car to picking peaches, but you could bring a stroller if needed (some rough patches). Peaches are delicious as well as the samples. Try thr samples, they'll surprise you! Definitely recommend and will be back.”

“Have been going there for many years. The peaches are amazing, but seeing all of the family working together to make this business a successful, community based experience that families can make lifelong memories of a great time working together, playing together and reap the benefits of great quality products grown in your own area!!! Best peaches and apples 🍑🍎”
