What you can pick
In October, check what’s currently ripe before you go. Seasons below are typical windows for North Carolina, not a guarantee for this exact farm.
Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in North Carolina.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“Great place to pick blueberries, been going there for 20 years. 2025 should be a good year without the cicada damage that impacted last year. Owners do a good job of keeping the field mowed and maintained. They also keep the website updated with current and planned hours.”
“We had a great time picking blueberries this weekend, there were still tons of berries, we both filled our buckets. Everyone there was incredibly nice and helpful, and the farm was very pretty. We are definitely coming back.”
“Had the best time picking blueberries in the rain today! Process was easy, farm was beautiful, payment was easy, and there was a ton of blueberries even though it’s close to the end of the season. Totally recommend!”
“This farm was so sweet and beautiful for picking blueberries. They accept cash, card, or venmo making payment very easy. There are still plenty of blueberries even though we are nearing the end of the season.”
