Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in North Carolina.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“Excellent location and "blueberry fields forever"! Their sign says that they are usda-certified organic blueberries and they also have blackberries availablebye. I love that they open at 7 a.m.! My daughter wakes up at 5:30am so it was so great to have an early morning activity before the heat of the day. The blueberry plants for plentiful and did not take long to get enough blueberries to make both of us :-) staff is very friendly. There is a sign posted about how to pick blueberries as you enter the field, just in case you're not sure what you're looking for. Highly recommend.”

“Great local and mostly organic fruit farm. They have blueberries and blackberries in the first half of summer and then muscadine grapes in late summer. Fields are nice and mown and the bushes, canes, and vines are well maintained. The fruit is delicious and the owners are really friendly. While the price is a little higher than other farms, it's more generally located and not difficult to get to. They have a large parking area aaaai it's not difficult to park.”

“Our first time grape picking and we all absolutely loved it. Setup in a quaint location and with wonderful weather on Labor Day, everyone was very excited. The lady at the start gave us good introduction of the types of grapes and picking procedure. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly. We will surely be back for other berry picking next year. Keep up the good work”
