Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Colorado.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“I had such a wonderful stay at Honey Rock Landing. The Cave Suite was absolutely incredible and unlike anywhere I’ve ever stayed. It was beautifully designed, incredibly peaceful, and the views of the canyon were breathtaking. Sitting outside with a cup of coffee in the morning and watching the stars at night made it even more special. The only reason I’m mentioning this is because I think it’s helpful for future guests. Check-in was at 4:00 p.m., but when I arrived around 3:45 after a long drive, I was told my suite was still being cleaned. I completely understand that these things happen, but I wasn’t able to get into the suite until around 5:30 p.m. Since the property is fairly remote and the nearest restaurants and towns are about 45 minutes away, there wasn’t much to do while waiting. I also stayed during the week while they were expanding the property, so construction crews started around 7:00 a.m. It was a little noisy, but I understood they were trying to work before the hottest part of the day. None of that took away from what an amazing place this is. It was serene, beautiful, and such a unique experience. I would absolutely stay here again, and I can’t wait to see the property once the expansion is complete.”

“We had a great time staying at the Cave suites at HRL celebrating my Dad's birthday. We love coming for U-Pick cherries in the spring and have been excited to stay in the suites since we first heard of the demolition project. As a gardener, touring the greenhouse was so awesome and it was great having snacks, games, and local products available in the store for our stay. A real luxury accommodation in Delta County! These folks have a lot going on and we're looking forward their continued success. Great job!”

“What a fantastic Hidden Gem near Grand Junction Colorado. I would have never know this was here, and I would have been missing out. The grounds are incredible - from orchards, cave suites and the greenhouse there is so much to see. It's a place of quiet and rest. Erika is incredible to work with. We attended on one of the Harvest Weekends and the whole atmosphere was so fun to be apart of, the food was delicious as well.”

“This place was even better than I expected! It was such a unique contrast between the dryness of the desert and the green of their farm. The tour of the farm was really educational. I felt really cared for by the staff. This is a great place to disconnect, you’ll be 20min drive from the nearest town, there’s no service, but they have wifi that’s good. I’ll try to come back!”

“We enjoyed a night away to relax on spring break. How fun that the suite is a cave, we loved the feel of it. The view of the orchard from full glass front of the cave is beautiful! The bathroom layout and amenities are fantastic, the beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked and efficient. We definitely want to return. Highly recommended!”

“The location is stunning! The suite itself as well as the surroundings. It’s nestled in the middle of the orchard. The caves are brand new and well equipped. They’re building a pool right now for the guests. We can definitely recommend staying here. Just be aware it’s a working farm, noise can occur and insects are very active.”

“We had a wonderful experience here with Honey Rock Landing. Everyone was so nice and welcoming and the location is stunning. We felt very well taken care of and truly enjoyed the opportunities we got to collect veggies, flowers, and eggs. The private chef made delicious food too. We will 100% be coming back!”

“If there were a way to give 100 stars to Honey Rock Landing, I would in a heartbeat. Erica and the entire Honey Rock team were exceptional, going above and beyond to ensure our stay felt truly top tier. Even though the orchards weren’t yet in bloom, the sweeping views alone were worth the trip — expansive, quiet, and impossibly beautiful.|Beyond the landscape, the cave suites are the epitome of out-of-the-box luxury. You can shower surrounded by warm stone walls or sink into a deep soaking tub spacious enough for two. When you step out, heated floors greet your feet, transforming what you might imagine as a damp cave into a cozy retreat that feels like you’re gently tucked into the earth itself.|The fully equipped kitchen makes it easy to prepare your own dinner, while thoughtful breakfast provisions await in the fridge for a seamless start to the next morning. One of the most charming amenities is the Honey Rock farm stand, tucked into its own cave and stocked with local goods, Honey Rock produce, honey, and keepsakes to remember your stay.|While you could stop by Honey Rock on your way through Grand Junction, it is more than worthy of planning an entire trip around. Thank you, Honey Rock. We already cannot wait to return.”
