Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Texas.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“We absolutely love visiting this pumpkin patch! There are so many activities for the kids, and they have a blast every time. My 7- and 3-year-old played for hours on the FREE activities like the hayrides, corn pit, bounce house, and all the other fun games. The pumpkin painting is also totally worth it – it saves us from the mess at home! The place is clean, with well-maintained restrooms, and the staff is incredibly kind and helpful. The scenery is beautiful, and it’s truly worth every penny – we spend more elsewhere for far less time and enjoyment! This has become a yearly tradition for our family, and we can’t wait to see what new fun things they’ll have this year! 10/10 this small family owned pumpkin patch is the best for miles! 🙌🧡✨🎃”

“Jacksboro Pumpkin patch is the best pumpkin patch I’ve ever been to! We travel from out of state to visit every year. We have kids of all ages (2-15) and they all love it, and we as adults do too! There are tons of things to do and the atmosphere is so fun. The owners and staff are absolute gems! They make you feel so welcome and want you to have fun. We got the most beautiful pumpkins to decorate our yard with as well. This is a MUST DO for your fall bucket list! Thanks JPP for all the fun and of course, the pumpkins!! 🎃”

“I love this Pumpkin Patch! I went with a friend and we enjoyed walking around and taking photos with all the handmade props. So much work went into making this amazing! The hay ride was so much fun, and I especially loved the apple cannon. They even have pumpkins growing in the patch. Don't forget to feed the cute goats when you walk in😊. The owners and their family are so nice and work hard to make it a fun and safe place for families to enjoy. I highly recommend visiting this wonderful place! Lorrie Shear, Realtor®”

“I attended opening weekend with a friend and this proved to be something that all ages can enjoy! While the majority of the guests were young families with their littles, us two empty nesters enjoyed acting like kids ourselves enjoying the MANY photo opportunities! I would like to thank the staff, they would come and offer to take pictures of the two of us together! The family who puts this in every year has done an AMAZING job! I can’t wait to visit again!”

“Amazing and beautiful place! My friend and I went and took kids ranging from 5-15! Tons of fun for all ages, the weather was beautiful and Emily, the owner, was incredibly sweet! I cannot believe how much love and dedication goes into the place! So well maintained and it is all done by Emily and her husband. Such a cool place! Will be back!”

“Very cute decorations around the pumpkin patch with lots of interactive stuff to do. Goats were adorable and the staff were super friendly, smiling, and helpful with suggestions for food and what to do next. Perfect for a family fall day outside.”

“Extremely overpriced for what you get. It’s $20 per person just to enter, and that doesn’t even include all the activities. Concession prices are outrageous, more expensive than Starbucks. The $4 pumpkin bread was a dry, tiny slice that could choke you, the cotton candy looked like the $1 tub from Dollar Tree but it’s being sold for $4, and they’re selling 10 pieces of candy corn for $2. The pedal toys? Every single one had something wrong with it (I took photos). The decor looks worn out, and several things are literally falling apart. For the price they’re charging, you’d expect quality, upkeep, and at least decent food. Definitely not worth the money or drive.”
