“My favorite peach orchard in Calhoun county Il. I have been going here for years on my yearly pilgrimage for fresh peaches. There is truly not many foods you can pick, wash, smell and eat that are this good. I so respect these farmers whom have made their livelihood for generations off the fickle peach trees. Top it off with the perfect topography of Calhoun and its beautiful vistas, and you have day.”

“Stopped by while passing thru area, only a couple of miles out of my way. Not only was there peaches, but some home grown garden vegetables and a yard sale. Husband found some items. I'm ripening the peaches to super soft In a paper bag. Inspected all of em, no flaws at all. Everyone was so friendly.”

“So disappointed. Drove almost 3 hours yesterday to go to Jacobs Fruit Stand. I purchased a half bushel of peaches along with some vegetables. Last night after returning home i removed the peaches from the box to place on the counter to finish ripening. This was the first time I was able to look the peaches over. Almost every single peach was bruised or had rotten spots on them! Not only that but they were also absolutely filthy! It looked as if something was spilled on them and just left to dry. I buy several bushels of peaches each year from different vendors but this was the first time at this location. These peaches definitely are not quality peaches. So disappointed! I will not go back! I would like to add that we also stopped at 3 more fruit stands. Those peaches were all quality peaches, nothing like Jacob's Orchard. Based on my experience, don't buy peaches from Jacob's Orchard!”

“Stopped by today wishing we could pick peaches but it was too muddy after last night’s rain. Pecks of picked peaches were $10 and $15 for the two varieties they had in the sales room. Husband asked what they would recommend for making cobbler today. Counter guy said he had some “overripe but not rotten”’peaches we could use and fetched them from the back. We felt them and said they seemed kind of hard. He felt them and said, “Nope those are soft.” He charged $20. When we got home to make cobbler, sure enough they were UNDER ripe. Hard to peel and slice. We won’t be going back to Jacob’s again.”

“I've always loved the peaches at jacobs un til this year 2024. I drove over an Hour to get fresh juicy peaches. Unfortunately, this year I was so disappointed. They were dry and mushy inside. SD”
