Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Illinois.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“I think this is a hidden treasure in Springfield. I didn’t even know it existed until my sister happened to come across it the other day and said let’s go. We took her daughter and grandson. We picked several pumpkins for each of us. It was a delightful experience. We had great fun going through the corn maze. I will definitely be back next year, if not a timer to between now and Halloween! The staff was terrific, and provided lots of valuable information when we asked questions. There was such a tremendous selection of different varieties, colors, shapes and sizes of pumpkins and gourds. It was great. We had a wonderful outing.”

“The maze and the patch of pumpkins and gourds was great! You can do it the easy way and buy the ones by the big silo, or I highly suggest you grab a wagon, park it after a few blocks walk, and try the corn maze...you will get some of your steps in for the day! I even grabbed some stalks and corn to decorate with while I was in the maze! I love my display thabks to the patch and my sister's garden!”

“Perfect day with the children and grandma. The family that owns the patch is lovely. We got pumpkins, flowers, did the corn maze and a hayride. Great location, easy parking and great prices. We will definitely come back to this location next year. Thanks!”

“We had a wonderful timeout. Its a nice farm with a wide variety of pumpkins. The corn 🌽 maze is fun too.. the owners were really nice and friendly. I wanted a couple of leaves and blossoms and they were generous to give it for free.. really nice people.”

“This is an amazing pumpkin patch! We have taken our daughter there since she was 1 year old! The owners are so kind and helpful. The pricing is very reasonable! It also has a cute photo op!”

“Wonderful family owned you pick pumpkins! Flowers too. We had such a wonderful morning here. I went as a kid, was fun to see it 20 years later.”

“Felt like home except for the subdivision. nice people, hard to beat prices! And the best veriety in pumpkin picking :)”

“Heads up, it’s in a neighborhood. I wasn’t expecting that. They had a bunch of nice pumpkins in the field behind the neighborhood. It’s not a far walk. The pumpkins were good and a lot of them. The maze was good as well. They weren’t doing the hayride when we went. If you are looking for fun family activities I wouldn’t choose this place. If you want simple this is a good place to go. Everyone was friendly.”
