“First time maze experience. View is beautiful. Sunflowers are bright, blooming and in abundant. Even as adults we enjoyed the maze, surely the kids will have fun and love it too. It was overall amazing experience. $10 for an adult not a bad price! You get trivia clues at the entrance & get stickers after you survive (successfully get out of) the maze!”

“Always a cute experience when I'm in town visiting..... The sunflowers were hanging on after heavy rain in the area and the end of their season.... everyone is usually pleasant.... the maze isn't huge, but you can mess things up enough trying to get out. Lol 😆”

“We drove from Albany for it. It was $10. $1 of it goes to charity. I recommend not going the first weekend because not all sunflowers were on bloom. Great way to spend the afternoon, the check out their orchard store which is a close drive from there.”

“It was awesome! After the maze, we went to their store, the Apple Barrel. The fig brie grilled cheese was awesome. I loved it all. I also got bread and butter squash whicked I loved and a christmas ornament to remember my time there.”

“We try to visit each year. It’s a pleasant mini road trip from Westchester County. You can also visit the farm store for a delicious meal and pick up goodies to bring home. Suggestions: go on a weekday if you can; check their calendar and don’t go when there’s a special event unless you’re into very large crowds; if it’s been very hot or rainy before you go, the sunflowers are going to look a little sad; it’s not really fun for babies (be prepared to push them on the uneven ground in a stroller) or children who don’t like being in maze type spaces (you have to find your way out); wear insect repellant; bring your patience and have fun. Update 2025: the sunflowers look very sad this year, not sure what happened but definitely not the same quality experience. We don’t mind making a donation for a good cause; however if traveling far might want to skip it this year. The market is always a good time and the food is delicious. Everyone treated us kindly.”

“Since this was our first, visit we were a bit late into the harvest season, I was surprised by the vast size. It was nice that we were able to still pick apples at the end of October. We got there early, almost right when they opened which was good because it became quite crowded. The store was huge and slightly overwhelming. The apple cider donuts were delicious and fresh which was a nice end to the afternoon.”

“Nice place to go but need to go in the spring or fall time. Most of the sunflowers were wilted from the heat wave. Wear old shoes as the trails are very sandy. Friendly staff. Can hand pick your own fruits.”

“We swung by Lyman Orchards on a total whim early into sunflower season and decided to try the maze… and wow... I don’t think I fully grasped that it was an actual maze-maze until we were deep in it and questioning all our life choices. 😂 It was HOT the day we went... like melting, sun-in-your-eyeballs hot... and we somehow made the brilliant parenting move of letting our 5-year-old be the map keeper. Spoiler alert: that girl was fully committed to freedom and vibes, not directional accuracy. The maze itself is cool... huge sunflowers, Sesame Street themed signs to find (at the time), and fun facts along the way to make it interesting... but there were definitely a few moments where I was ready to signal a helicopter rescue or plow straight through the flowers to the exit. If there was an SOS flag system or “tap out here” lane for parents with heat-stroking children, I would’ve used it. 😂 We did eventually find the end, sweaty and slightly delirious, and the walk back to the car felt like another bonus obstacle course. I saw a sign on the way out about Wine in the Maze on Friday nights, and I have no idea if that’s genius or chaos but I’m honestly impressed by anyone brave enough to try it. Overall.... a really fun summer memory, a gorgeous maze, tons of photo spots, and a great family activity… just go early in the day, hydrate, and maybe keep the map for yourself.”
