“We went with my child's class on their field trip. They all had a wonderful time, and we enjoyed it so much. Great place for photos so make sure your prepared for that! They have several areas staged for great fall photos. They also have a concession stand that is very nice serving hot dogs, hamburgers, nachos, various types of things like that. They accept cards. Nothing but great things to be said.”

“What a GREAT pumpkin patch! Great value for the price - a pumpkin, wagon ride to a genuine pumpkin patch, giant slides, tunnel racing, corn mazes, sunflower fields, basketball, and more - it had all of our check lists for a pumpkin patch. And they had a reasonably priced concession stand with tons of options. My teens loved it a we’ll be back. Definitely worth the trip from Birmingham.”

“My children loved all their activities! You could pretend to milk a cow! They even had soft play with corn kernels for the younger ones! The slide is my children's favorite!! Penton Farms even takes you on a tractor ride to get to the pumpkin patch. There's even a corn maze. The price is awesome for the amount of activities. Plus a snack bar to purchase drinks and funnel cakes!!!”

“Our trip to Penton Farms created many learning opportunities for my little guy. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The tour was awesome and I loved the wagon ride to the pumpkin patch where the little guy picked out his cute little pumpkin! There are many activities for the kids including a play tractor that was my little guy’s favorite. We visited with some of the animals and then had lunch in the outdoor eating area. There is a concession stand where they serve burgers, fries, nachos etc. My only suggestion would be to have a bigger restroom facility there due to the amount of people on tour at a time. But I do believe this is a common theme anywhere you go. Otherwise we truly enjoyed it and I give this trip a 4 out of five stars.”

“Extremely Disappointed! If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. I have never been treated the way I was treated today. I have a service dog in training, and earlier this week I reached out multiple times—by phone and by message—to ask if she could accompany me to the pumpkin patch. My messages were marked as read, but no one responded, and I couldn’t get anyone on the phone either. We decided to make the trip anyway, driving over an hour to get there. When we arrived, my dog behaved perfectly—she’s completed obedience training, is very well-mannered, and has done great in public settings. We took a few photos in front of one of their displays, and everything was fine… until we went to the counter to pay. The woman at the register told me that dogs aren’t allowed. I explained that I had called and messaged several times for permission, and that we had driven over an hour to visit. She admitted she’d seen my messages but was “too busy” to reply and just forgot. That’s not how a professional business should handle customer inquiries—especially about accessibility and service animals. I calmly explained that my dog is a service dog in training and what her role is—she assists me with vision issues (I’m blind in one eye and rely on her to help me navigate safely). The woman then asked for paperwork, which is not allowed under ADA law. Businesses cannot require documentation or proof. She also said dogs must wear vests labeled “service dog,” which again is not a legal requirement—especially for dogs still in training. I was so excited to visit this place, but the way I was treated was unacceptable. Instead of showing understanding or learning the correct policy, I was turned away after making a long trip, despite doing everything I could in advance to communicate. It’s truly disappointing, because it’s a cute place—but I won’t be back. I’ll happily buy my pumpkins elsewhere, where customers and service animals are treated with respect and kindness. On a brighter note, my dog looked adorable in the photos we managed to get before all this happened, so I’ll share those—because she deserves the spotlight, even if this place didn’t. 🧡🐾”
