A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Alabama.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
- Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“All the way from Aurora, Illinois. The most wonderful, friendly service I’ve experienced. From the mother to the son to the men that work there. The satsumas are tastefully delicious. Can’t wait to visit again and again and again. Macaronis has a lifetime customer. And even when I can’t make it to Alabama, they have a mail order service starting soon! WOW!😋”
