Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Georgia.

  • Check whether this stop is a stand, orchard tour, or full farm experience before you arrive.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Reece’s Cider Company is a must-visit every time we’re in the Ellijay area. My wife and I have become such fans that we’ve built up a collection of their growler jugs and bring them back for refills whenever we’re in town. The ciders are outstanding, but our absolute favorites are the Apple Pie, Frost Bite, and Thin Mint. Each one has its own unique flavor profile, and they never disappoint. It’s hard to leave without taking some home. What really sets Reece’s apart, though, is the atmosphere. The staff are always friendly, welcoming, and genuinely seem happy to be there. The property is dog-friendly, the live music adds to the experience, and the overall vibe is relaxed and enjoyable. Whether you’re sitting outside with friends, bringing your dog along, enjoying a tasting, or just stopping by to grab a refill, it feels like a place where everyone is welcome. What makes Reece’s a must-stop for us compared to other orchards in the area is the overall experience. At Reece’s, you’re encouraged to explore the cider offerings, ask questions, and simply enjoy yourself without feeling rushed or judged. We especially appreciate that it’s dog-friendly, which makes it easy for our whole family—including our four-legged family members—to enjoy a visit together. The combination of exceptional customer service, a laid-back atmosphere, great cider, live music, and a welcoming environment creates an experience that keeps us coming back year after year. From the great cider to the positive employees, live entertainment, and family-friendly environment, Reece’s consistently delivers an experience that keeps us coming back. It’s one of our favorite stops in North Georgia, and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Ellijay area.”

“If you suffer from crippling decision paralysis like I do, the menu here will initially trigger a minor existential crisis because everything sounds phenomenal. Enter: the small flights. Absolute saviors. It is a stroke of pure psychological genius on their part, allowing you to taste a bit of everything so you don't have to commit to just one drink like it's a 30-year mortgage. The staff here don’t just pour cider; they basically perform flavor alchemy. They are insanely knowledgeable and incredibly friendly. We gave them a vague description of what we usually like, and they manifested a flight lineup that completely tickled our taste buds. The indoor atmosphere is beautifully open and inviting, but the backyard area is where the real magic happens. It’s spacious, pristine, and features a cornhole setup that apparently possesses hypnotic properties. The kids spent approximately 99% of their time over there, which allowed the adults to sit in glorious, uninterrupted peace and systematically dismantle an abundance of incredible ciders. Whoever put those games out there deserves a Nobel Peace Prize. Before leaving, we checked out the merch. Refreshingly, it’s actually on point—nice hats and shirts you’ll genuinely want to wear in public, rather than relegating them to your "changing the truck oil" wardrobe. Oh, and do yourself a financial favor: grab one of their refillable bottles. Getting a premium top-off for $16 is a total steal. We’ll be rolling back up with ours very soon. 10/10.”

“We had a great experience visiting Reece’s Cider Company in Ellijay, GA. The setting is welcoming and thoughtfully designed, with a nice mix of indoor and outdoor spaces that make it easy to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. There’s plenty of seating, along with fun games like cornhole and ring toss, which add to the laid-back, social feel. It’s a great spot to spend time with friends or family. I especially enjoyed the cider flight—four different selections for $16—which was a great way to sample a variety of flavors. Everything we tried was well-crafted and refreshing. Overall, it’s a charming place with a great vibe, and I would definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in the Ellijay area.”

“Simply amazing Let’s start with Joseph and his crew the knowledge and experience was one of the best I have experienced. The pours were not gimpy and the taste simply refreshing, this left us with out a doubt feeling the money was well worth the value which is hard these days. Now again His recommendation of the lobster roll with the food truck there that day was again simply spot on and delicious and a must have. To give you an idea of overall experience We have toured many cider establishment's and if Reece’s is not on your list then it’s simple Your not doing it right This spring and summer we will be back with our 2024 Westminster breed winner and we hope to see everyone there”

“They have the best Apple cider donuts I’ve ever had and the Apple pie was incredible, didn’t last long in our house! Definitely have to stop by this place if you’re in the area to try all their delicious Apple treats! The building across the street from their market had a tasting room type of experience with their hard cider options and it had such a great vibe with delicious hard cider.”

“Our tour group visited Reeces cider in Ellijay on Sat 5/30, our group used Zixpy who were able to secure a tour of the cider making process along with tastings included. The staff there done a great job hosting us, thanks go to Joseph, Garreth and Chandler from Reeces for a great experience. We would also like to thank Ray and Trish from ZIXPY for an overall excellent experience 10/10.”

“I stopped by with my 2 dogs, and was grateful to see it is dog friendly inside and out. Since I have one dog that gets anxious about truck sounds, and it's on a roadway, being inside was calming for her. Staff was friendly and helpful, and the ciders were delicious.”

“Great dog friendly cidery with live music and food trucks. Store across the street with canned goods, bakery items like hand pies, cake rolls, and full pies, plus fresh fruit and veggies.”
