“A great place for a therapeutic walk especially after a 🌨️ snowfall! The snow with the combination of two million multicolor lights made it feel like you were enveloped with light at times. Each section had its own song that played over and over and over. . I felt only empathy for the staff who had to listen 👂 to the music 🎶 the entire time they worked. They played Frank Sinatra and Louis B. Armstrong ▶️, which I enjoyed, but not on a loop. I hope they will add more songs from these performers and others of their era. The staff were very friendly and I met the owner of the farm at the end 🔚 of the trail. He and I talked about the trail, what I thought 💭 of it, my opinions about other lighted trails and people who decorated their houses 🏡 with lights and set it to music 🎵. I was told about the Fall 🍂 light festival and why they discontinued it. The trail takes you right next to the water 🌊 so stay on the trail. There are exhibits where you can sit or stand in. The lighted tunnels are always my favorite. I was impressed with all of the effort that went into decorating the trail and the staff that were working in the cold 🥶. There are porta potties along the trail but the hand sanitizer in the porta potty I used was frozen 🎵 Let it go! Let it go! Turn away and slam the door 🚪! 🎵 Oops 😬! Sorry 😔! I was told that they are going for a Valentine's Day theme the closer they get to February. There is a shack that sells hot chocolate and cider plus warm chocolate 🍫 chip cookies. I recommend you dress for the cold, bring hand warmers and if it snows, shoes 👟 or 🥾 boots with good grips. If you book for 7:30 pm, try to be on time. The farm is following a town ordinance concerning how long the lights can stay on. They also don't want to upset the neighbors. The owner stayed open late for a family that showed up late, which was nice of him. The farm is going to add a Bavarian village next season. I intend on visiting then as well! Update: July 2025; The Sunflower 🌻 Summer 🌞 event was a pleasant stroll through two acres of five varieties of Sunflowers and two varieties of 🐝 bees. The backdrop of and the breeze off the Piscataqua River added to the walk. The bumpy train ride through the Winter ☃️ trail was an eye 👁️ opener on how different everything looks from season to season. The dish of chocolate custard including in the affordable price for the ticket 🎟️ was good. Update: January 2026; I did see 🙈 the new attractions. A ship, a giant wizard (?) and a few new 🆕 setups. A relaxing walk though my traveling companion Author Itis and his brother Burt would not stop complaining. Seeing lights shining through the snow ❄️ was cool 🆒. I recommend a visit!”

“The Winter Wonders holiday lights display was incredible! This was our first year going, so we weren’t sure what to expect. I’ll admit I was a little uncertain about what our experience would be, especially since what I saw online ahead of time didn’t really do it justice. However, we ended up being completely blown away the night of our visit! We’d never been to Eliot before, and it was very cute. The drive from I-95 through Eliot to Sandy Handy Farm was actually a really nice lead-up to the main event. There were lots of homes and businesses decorated with holiday lights along the way. We were immediately in awe when we arrived at the farm. There were holiday lights everywhere! It was absolutely beautiful, and we’d never seen so many lights in one place. It was very busy the night we went, with a long line of cars entering and exiting, but everything moved quickly and efficiently. The folks directing traffic did a great job making it easy to get in and out. It was a short walk to the check-in area. Once checked in, we noticed a small concessions stand selling hot cocoa, hot apple cider, apple cider donuts, chocolate chip cookies, and more. We grabbed a couple of ciders and a bag of donuts, which were pre-packaged and made the process super quick and efficient. We were amazed by how friendly everyone was - from check-in, to the concessions stand, to the folks helping along the walking path. The walk itself was amazing! There were beautiful holiday lights everywhere and cheerful music playing through the trees. As cheesy as it sounds, it felt like one of those picturesque holiday scenes you usually see in a Hallmark movie. The walk took us about 45 minutes, though we were told it typically takes about an hour (we’re fast walkers!). There were plenty of spots along the way that were perfect for photos. The path was nice and wide, and combined with the limited number of guests per hour, it felt open, relaxed, and not overly crowded. All of the other guests were kind and respectful, with lots of couples and families enjoying the experience. Altogether, this was a wonderful first visit, and we’ve been telling everyone about it ever since. We hope to make this a yearly tradition!”

“Wow! What a Great and Wonderful Experience!! Sandy Hill Farm has it down! Place runs like a Well Very Well Oiled machine. We had Primetime Tickets (630pm Saturday Night) From the short wait getting into the parking lot and the Great parking Job the attendants Help with. The line to get in wasnt to long and it Moved Extremely Fast considering the amount of people. The Entire staff is Super Friendly and Very Attentive. This light show and Walk thru is By far 1 of the Best Shows we have been to in New England! We drove over 2.5 hours to go to this event!! Well worth it!! It will become a Tradition for Sure! The Concession stand has Amazing Donuts and a Great offering of Warm Bevarages! It took us about 45 Minutes to walk thru and stop throughout and take it all in! Thanks for Making A Wonderful Experience! Looking forward to seeing this Next Year!!”

“I have been coming here for the past four years to see there lights during the Christmas season and they never disappoint. I have already been twice this year and I could go again and again. Well worth the cost and all of the folks working there are pleasant despite standing outside in the cold fo long periods of time.”

“We went for the lights. It was a beautiful clear night and the lights were fantastic! The most elaborate display we have ever seen! The path was flat and was easy to walk. Time estimate is an hour but we were a bit longer taking so many pictures! Highly recommend the trip!”

“It was a wonderful time walking through and seeing all the different set ups! They now have a little food/hot cocoa booth right as you're starting too. Have many pictures to go through and we had to stop at almost everything to get photos!”

“Thought this would be an interesting place to visit for the winter season. Prices were fair, plenty of parking, and weather was tolerable to enjoy the spectacle of lights. Farm installed a small tubing ride that was popular. Light show was enjoyable but place really geared for the kids and young families. By the time we were reaching to end I was getting bored. We wish we had our grandchildren with us as they would have loved it. Definitely worth a visit for any age !!”
