What you can pick

In August, check what’s currently ripe before you go. Seasons below are typical windows for Illinois, not a guarantee for this exact farm.

Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Illinois.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
  • Payment notes on file: American Express, Discover, Mastercard, VISA. Cash still helps at smaller stands.

“Great place with good prices for delicious food. I just found this place towards the end of the season. Now I question why I ever went to the grocery store for my veggies. It takes some time to walk through the farm and pick what you need since it is not clearly labeled but scattered a bit. Still definitely worth it. They have a stand with picked items or you can get a wagon with a basket and pay for anything that can fit in it. Certain items like watermellon goes by amount. This place is better on the wallet than grocery stores in my opinion.”

“The best place to pick your own produce. Prices are highly reasonable for the amount you get! Produce is extremely high in value and beyond better than the grocery store. Fun to take the kids and pick our own !!! I highly suggest getting the crates and making your own pickled jars, canned goods, salsas, tomato sauces. I’ve had great success in the flavor value these crops produced in my cooking. Oh and not to mention most important part!!! No pesticides, just pure sun, water and love.”

“Update: Still great produce, prices & great service. U-pick or self pick from whats up front. Great spot & you’ll be glad you stopped here!! Cash & zelle accepted! Great selection of produce & pumpkins for fall. Hidden gem & worth the stop! The best pumpkins Ive ever bought!”

“It was my first time here and I’ll definitely be back! The vegetables are fresh, tasty, and reasonably priced. Friendly service, and you can tell they put a lot of heart and hard work into what they do (🫑🧅🥕🌽🌶️)”
