Strawberry U-pick by Green Gables

“This U-pick strawberry field is run by GreenGable Farm out of Philomath. There is a small farm stand on the left of NE Wolcott St where you sign in: weigh your empty container, go pick your berries, come back and weigh your full container, and pay for the net weight of your berries, $2.50/lb in 2025. The woman who is usually staffing the farm stand is very helpful and always so pleasant. They accept cash, check, and credit. The berries are excellent and this year they are plentiful! They grow Shuksan, Sweet Sunrise, and Marys Peak...an apt variety considering that Marys Peak is visible from the fields. They also have flats that are already picked for $5/lb. While not organic, I believe that spraying is limited to times when the plants are not bearing fruit. The stoplight on Rt 34 makes access easy. Go now!!”
