Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Wisconsin.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“Great prices on weekdays and was not crowded at all when we went on a Monday. Friendly staff. Will definitely come back.”

“We've been picking berries here for over 15 years. It's been great, although pricy lately. Last couple of years we bought prepicked strawberries that were great. Today though my husband went to buy prepicked strawberries and they looked nice and bright to him, so he bought 6 baskets x $26. I started processing them right away, and had to discard 1/2 to 2/3 because they were mostly so overripe that they were going bad already. When I used to almost fill the pot in the picture from just one basket, this time it's just a bit on the bottom. Lots and lots of spoiled berries - at least 2 disposers full from each basket. Sad and frustrating for these prices. I adjusted the rating because when I messaged the farm on Facebook they contacted me and were really nice about it. They apologized for the job a third party did picking the strawberries, and also offered a refund. Nice of them to do that. We will definitely be back to this farm for their berries, will just need to be more careful buying pre-picked.”

“We never found the ripest berry albeit having lifted the cane. We were very safe to avoid the risks of agricultural tourism albeit some are inevitable.”

“It was an ok experience. Came here with friends to pick strawberries, but we spent like an hour and a half in the field and our baskets were only half full because so many strawberries were mushy (most likely due to the excess rain in the previous weeks). Half the time I picked a berry, it was rotting and I had to chuck it, so that ate up a lot of time with less results. Bummer that we had to pay $12 to park and a flat $18 fee per basket when the season wasn't peak. Luckily they let you combine baskets and payment is due at the end. Staff was friendly and informative. If it was cost-effective, I'd do it again, but not worth the price tag and all the work it took to find good ones.”

“Came here on a Monday. Cost $5 to get in and $18 for a basket of hand picked by yourself strawberries. I’ve never been strawberry picking before. It was a fun experience but I felt like I chased my toddler around more than picking quality strawberries. The areas we were searching seemed to have small strawberries or picked over. I left very muddy so make sure to wear boots. I didn’t have that option since I am visiting from out of state.”

“Never again. You pick your own strawberries (yes, they too are loaded with pesticides- don't eat them before washing) and the strawberries are half the size for twice the price of the grocery store. Oh, and your feet will be covered in rotting strawberries mixed with straw. And this mess hardens like glue. Yuuuuck.”

“15 $ just to get inside, and after you pay additional for strawberries 18$ basket. A lot of strawberries were rotten…”

“There are no strawberries left, and the ones that are there are rotten. It's a waste of money on parking.”
