Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Indiana.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Wear clothes you don’t mind getting stained; berry juice and field mud travel home with you.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

“Our new favorite fall spot! I took my kids here on a Sunday morning in October and was so impressed with all the attractions! It was incredibly clean and well planned. Endless entertainment for a 2 and 5 year old. What really set it apart for me is the care that went into providing shaded areas, the cleanliness and the staff. There are staff at every activity monitoring and multiple offered to take pictures of me with my kids! The staff was genuinely proud of Waterman's farm and excited to make sure families enjoyed it too. There's plenty of space to run and climb. Some of the activities to give you an idea are sandboxes, various playgrounds, a hay bale mountain, corn box (sandbox filled with loose corn) petting zoo, pony rides, tractor tricycles, ball pit, slides, a large dinosaur that eats pumpkins, pumpkin painting, carnival food stands and a hayride out to a pumpkin patch. My kids especially loved the colorful plastic dinosaurs, cows and horses they could sit on. There was an entire carnival ride section that we didn't venture out to. Plan to spend an entire day!”

“We came here to attend the “Big Bounce America 2024” for the world record largest bounce house!! So cool that this farm held such a huge event. So many people and parking was no issue whatsoever. I will say it was very hot this day and there is no shade but it was worth it. This farm is a hidden gem right off the interstate! Would love to go back for future activities they might have.”

“I love this place. They have fresh produce much better tasting than produce found in grocery store. They have homemade salsa and jams and different mini loaves of bread. There are plenty more items here as well. I recommend giving it a try especially if you are local. No reason not to!”

“Visited Waterman’s family farm to get fresh handpicked vegetables. It was almost the last of peppers, we got to pick radish, a few kinds of peppers. They sell a few varieties of veggies and spreads/jams in the store too.”

“This experience was great! I think that admission was slightly over-priced and there are many up-sells within the venue that are not included with the admission fee. The atmosphere is festive and there are plenty of activities for family fun. The food was good, but expensive. The pumpkin patch was the highlight of the trip, with so many options for selection. The prices of the pumpkins are reasonable. The variety takes the cake. Great place to visit this fall! Especially if you have kids!”

“A great place to take the kids and tire them out. Lots to do... Climb the big hay stack, jump in the bounce houses, feed the animals, ride a pony, face painting and more. The price to get in isn't bad, but once you pay for face painting, feeding the goats, pony ride, etc. plan on spending a little more. They would get 5 stars if more was included with admission. They also have the food options you'd expect to find at fairs/carnivals.”

“We have went for the past few years w the exception of COVID for the last two years. We love the experience! My oldest son did scrap his hand on some wood was under the straw mountain when coming down. I asked for a bandage at the admission booth and they were great in assisting me. Will be back next year.”

“DO NOT COME HERE. ABSOLUTE AWFUL EXPERIENCE. We came around noon on a Saturday and we only came here because I had a coupon for 2 free adult admissions. cashier didnt know how to ring it up so wouldn't honor it and wouldn't even go and ask someone else. There was no music or rides up and going. They had like 3 stands with fair food and most everything inside cost extra. Their "pumpkin patch" consisted of big bins of pumpkins like you see at the grocery stores that they placed in a field. We picked out one small pumpkin which the cashier then claimed was a pie pumpkin and was $5. I felt scammed after coming here. Don't waste your time or money.”
