What you can pick
In August, check what’s currently ripe before you go. Seasons below are typical windows for Indiana, not a guarantee for this exact farm.
Before you go
A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Indiana.
- Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
- Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
- Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
- Payment notes on file: Mastercard. Cash still helps at smaller stands.

“This is an awesome place. Very clean and organized. Wood burning fireplace warms you to the bone. The meads are outstanding! The service was the best I've had from any wine/mead business. Samples where plenty. Many different serving sizes when you do figure out what you want. They have mead growlers and pre-bottled/canned products along with many other non-mead items for sale that are locally made. They do serve some snacks but you can bring your own food. Hint-there is a great very old tavern less than a half mile away that serves outstanding food. Also we where informed of live music and firepits during the summer. Definitely worth your time to stop by.”

“Ambrosia is located a bit into the countryside, but there’s still good access from the city. The farm locale is pretty and there was some live music during my visit on a Friday evening. I got a flight of four drinks mixing cider and mead in my selection. The drinks were all pretty good and easy to drink. I think I preferred the ciders I tried over the meads, and the lupulus rossa cider was probably my favorite. The staff was welcoming, and I enjoyed my time there. I usually like places out in the farmland like this, and this place was no different.”

“What a great set up! I did a tasting of all their delicious wines, mead, etc. They were all creatively concocted. As a red wine drinker, I am partial to dry. I did pure-cure a few bottles, including a lovely blackberry mead HARALDSKAER. Very well crafted and not too sweet. The owner and staff were down to earth and created a pleasant environment. We parked our RV in their lot overnight enjoying a beautiful sunset fall evening. You should make the stuff you will be pleased.”

“So much fun! It's a great weekend place to relax, enjoy the scenery, and indulge in some tasty treats. I highly suggest getting a flight and trying all the amazing flavors. The food is so good and the desserts are amazing. It's grown a lot in the past couple years and you can see how much more it will continue to grow coming soon! What a blast!”

“Best cider I've ever had! In fact, I didn't like ciders. But I really enjoyed Orchard Dry - reminded me of a dry white wine with a little fizz. Very easy to drink. Also loved the Juniper Lemon - tasted like a cocktail. And last but most important to me is that there outside space is dog friendly! If we lived closer, we'd be back often!”

“Hosted my baby shower here. Blanca and her team were very accommodating and so many of my guests commented on how beautiful the property was. Everyone loved the build your own bouquet shower favors from the flower field at the orchard. I would definitely host another event here / recommend ambrosia to friends & family”

“Went to ambrosia for the first time yesterday and loved it! We got a flight, a cookie and a bottle to go. The bar room was very cozy and I can only imagine it's even better when it's a bit warmer. Five big stars!”

“We held our wedding rehearsal dinner here and it was a very enjoyable time! We had about 40 people and the weather was amazing, so we were able to hold it outside. We had to rent a food truck for catering, as their kitchen is undergoing changes. Everyone loved their variety of drinks, and many people, myself included, didn't have the same drink twice. The kids really enjoyed running around, playing with the board games, and feeding the chickens. Blanca was very easy to communicate with!”
