Bengtson's Pumpkin Farm and Fall Fest

“Bengtson’s is an absolute gem of a fall festival. Top notch in terms of rides and attractions, and your entire family can spend the day there within its safe, manageable confines. Not too big, not too small. Just right. We generally go during Columbus Day, and try to arrive before the park opens to get the most out of the big rides before the long lines start to form. They have about 15-20 automated amusement rides. All of them feel new and are in great condition. The park never feels run down and they are always updating attractions. They have multiple play areas for children of all ages, and a MASSIVE corn pit that kids of every age will love. They have a fairly wide variety of food, and it’s rather tasty too, especially for a big amusement park. It’s not just your typical hot dogs and hamburgers, but multiple cuisines featuring many different entrees, such as corn on the cob, BBQ, and tacos. The food tastes fresh and is served rather quickly, despite the long lunch lines you’ll sometime encounter. And the lemonades, ciders and donuts they offer are second to none! The park features lots of smaller attractions that are typical of most fall fests, though like everything else here, it is all very well maintained and always up to date. They have a few animatronic displays, including one of my favorites, the skeletons playing legitimate bluegrass tunes. They have an elaborate, clean petting zoo, hat bale rides, pig racing and a beautiful pumpkin patch. And everything is accessible via a very smooth network of asphalt paths that meander through the property. The one hiccup that they can’t seems to get control of are the bees. LOTS AND LOTS of bees. We had one sting in our group once, but the first aid tent was very quick and helpful in taking care of the matter. Whoever is in charge of this park does a spectacular job, nothing is run down and everything seems to be humming and clean. And it’s also one of the most family oriented parks I’ve ever been too. So many places has throngs of teenagers roaming the grounds that can make the venue feel uninviting. This is definitely not the case here, at least during the day. Highly recommend Bengtson’s!”

“The Wife and I had a blast coming here and the weather was perfect. We will definitely come back. Had some great Mexican food at Anna's Tacos 🌮. We also watched the Pig races and they were hilarious. A lot to do from shopping to rides to great eats. Try em out for Yourself and see. We also bought a bunch of cool Pumpkins and Gourds.”

“No rides for little ones, pony & camel rides are separate $8 each for just one loop. The people at the camel ride were rude. The doughnuts were excellent. It was a cold day, wanted a hot cider but it was warm, not hot. Loved the live music. Not picked to display pumpkins and apple orchard. If you have little kids, maybe go somewhere else where there's more included in the price. Otherwise, a good place to hang out”

“The idea is great, but it was an awful experience. Upon arriving, a young girl held out her hand for my tickets and didn't even respond to my greeting. It was so crowded on Sunday, we parked really far away. Once inside, we could barely move there was so many people. I had my ankle hit by a stroller.. again no apology from the mother. My kids got on 2 rides. Not worth $210 for entry, then $150 in food that we waited an hour for. We couldn't even sit to eat because people were so rude they literally ran in front of me as we were putting our things down. The bathrooms were atrocious. There was feces on the walls in 1 I went into, gross feminine products thrown on the floor in another. A family cut in line in front of us, and after I said we were in line, ignored us. If they limited tickets, I could see it being fun. But, no... we will never return. Save your money and go to a county fair and small town patch or orchard! :-)”
