“June 25, 2024 - Hook up your buckets round your waist, wade through 3,000 blueberry high bushes ! Yes it’s Organic . . . don’t let 1 or 2 pests spoil your fun ! My wife & I picked over 10 lbs. ( $5 lb) of blueberries on Monday ! Outstanding 😃👍🏼 We wash and clean them up . . . then we cook them for jam preserves! Of course save some for our grandkids who love blueberry pancakes! Samuel & Margaret Wenger Johnson established Hickory Hill Farm in 1978. They started with grapes and expanded farm’s crops over time. Today Margaret’s daughter , Hannah is the owner with her Mom. They’ve hired Grant Bentz as Field Manager. “Our family and another family met up here in the evening to go blueberry picking, with six kids ranging from 8 y/o to 1 y/o. The owners were so great with our kids and the berries were plentiful (and delicious)! Also priced well ($5.25 a lb today, which is about 35 cents more than Walmarts sale price, but these taste wayyyy better). Highly recommend!!”

“Oh my goodness, these blueberries are amazing. So sweet, juicy, easy to pick, and after coming back multiple times, I can safely say they are bug-free! Eating them fresh or frozen is my favorite, but I might save a few for some blueberry pancakes 🤤 The owners here are so kind, very informative and generous with sampling! 🫐”

“Gorgeous and peaceful location to pick fresh no-spray blueberries! We came on opening day and there were so many ripe berries on the bushes with plenty more varieties to ripen through the season. Everyone was incredibly kind and helpful! Great place to bring the family or have a date night for u-pick blueberries.”

“Experience the joy of handpicking luscious blueberries at this terrifically Idyllic farm near Harrisonburg, Virginia! Operated by some super friendly folks, it guarantees an unforgettable, wholesome family experience. Great prices too for close to Organic berries as possible. We'll be back!”

“We always have a great time picking blueberries here! They give you a string to tie around your waist and a bucket to hang from it. Then you can pick as many as you'd like! The best part is that tasting while picking is ok:)”

“Blueberries have never been sweeter! This farm is so easy and practical to pick your own. It’s well worth the trip.Make it a family outing , then enjoy your berries all year long with jelly or frozen berries. No spray!”

“We went on Thursday (6/20/2024) and the experience went negative. WE FOUND WORMS IN SOME BERRIES WHILE WE WERE WASHING THEM. Edit 6/23/2024) You do NOT have "some bugs" you have an infestation of cherry fruit worm. If you soak the berries in water one or two hrs, you would see the worms and the larvae floating. Is the money more important than your reputation and the customers?”
