Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Illinois.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

What visitors say

109 reviews on file · showing 8 visitor notes from the listing data.

“We stopped by on a rainy afternoon (between the rain) fully prepared for them to be closed, but wanted to even just drive by to check it out. We were greeted as we pulled in as the only ones there, but so friendly and welcoming! We fed the bunnies, saw the chickens, donkeys, and turkeys, petted the cats, played in the kids area, and got a bag of the prettiest (and tasty of course) apples I’ve ever seen. Can’t wait to go back on a nicer day!”

“The workers & owner are very polite. They were up front that the spring weather sorta messed with their Apple growth. They still allowed people to go pick(which we did and still found a small bags worth) and enjoyed the tractor ride out there. Definitely a spot for kids to play as well! Oh, and once the new red shed is finished you can check out the train inside & little shops!”

“We went on the best fall day. We were the only family on the hay ride to the pumpkins. We felt like VIP the owners of the farm were so sweet and went above and beyond for us. Will definitely be back next year. Loved all the animals.☺️”

“Went there for a wedding reception.. seemed odd to me but it was for a friend of my wife. It's def a farm with everything that entails. The 5 stars are for all the cats! They were great! Go for the cats!”

“What an amazing place to visit! The owner, Jerry Mills, is the sweetest old man. The farm is constantly making improvements and so much fun to be in a field picking apples!”

“This was a very fun, kid friendly, fall weekend experience. Would recommend. Especially a young family. This place was clean and the workers were super friendly. 👌”

“Such a fabulous place! Very laid back and supremely kid-friendly. Very clean bathrooms, friendly staff, and such fun picking apples!”

“Always fun, great staff and nice family fun! Kids had a blast, they really enjoyed the NASA lunar module! Highly recommend!”
