What you can pick

In October, check what’s currently ripe before you go. Seasons below are typical windows for Wisconsin, not a guarantee for this exact farm.

Before you go

A short checklist so the trip feels easy — especially helpful for first-time u-pick visits in Wisconsin.

  • Bring closed-toe shoes, sun protection, water, and containers unless the farm supplies them.
  • Call or check the website for today’s picking conditions — mud, rain, and sold-out fields are common.
  • Arrive earlier in the day for cooler weather and better selection during peak weekends.
  • Cash still helps at smaller stands even when cards are accepted.

What visitors say

“Get the apple crumble pie and a gallon of the apple cider. Trust me. Just do it 🤤🤤🤤 One of my favorite pies in the United States and some of best apple cider around I do think the hours posted are wrong. We waited to show up till about 2 minutes after they opened and they were already crawling with people leaving after purchasing. So I think they open at least an hour earlier then posted. Didn't see any hours posted on the shop itself, we looked when we were leaving. Line was too long to ask staff.”

“This is the perfect place to stop for fresh apples, cider, honey, candy apples, apple pie, all while enjoying the beauty of the Holy Hill / Kettle Moraine area. Make sure to take a walk on the trails in back of the shop to see clear views of Holy Hill! Everything is homemade and made with love. It's a great place.”

“We love stopping here on our annual Holy Hill picture hunt. Everything is delicious, there's little benches and tables to sit at, a little Linkin patch, different flavored honey/honey sticks(and I HATE honey but the flavored ones are so good!) and there's a nice view of Holy Hill just across the street.”

“Apple pies are to die for here! Bought one today and going back tomorrow. The apples in the pie taste sooo homemade and pure. The crust has little chunks of nuts; covered with brown sugar and a little drizzle of caramel. Doesn't leave you feeling as if you ate an elephant afterwards. Worth every penny.”

“I have been buying cider /apples and of course the apple pies from Pine Hill a orchard since 2008! The pies are definitely the best in Wisconsin and I’ll drive an hour+ a couple times in October/November to get them! This is a stop you must do while visiting the Holy Hill area.”

“Real cool place, apple apples apples, apple cider, apple cider slushie, samples, maple syrup, jams too. fresh local honey at a great price, the lady was super nice and helpful too! Nice quick on off road too!”

“Carmel crunch pies for a fall wedding dessert! What a fabulous treat! Everyone loves pie and these are delicious!”

“Cute little shop just down the road from Holy Hill. Really lovely and helpful staff. Good date stop. Purchase apple products (no tech though), honey, and some other seasonal things like pumpkins. Unfortunately, the trip was soured after buying the most expensive pie of my life ($24) only to have it grow some impressive mold 4 days later. Among storing it properly. That’s not ok…”
